Hacking PS3 Rebug - Activate Console

I've just bought a ps3 3.55 with rebug installed and added a couple of psn games journey and afterburner.

I have installed them then used psnpatch to apply the exdata folder but when i try and run the games im getting a message saying that i need to activate my console to play them. Can somebody tell if i have done something wrong or is there a step that i've missed.

im really lost

Edit - ive clicked update for journey and it updated and is now playable but afterburner is the up to date version and still isnt working

Spoof firmware to latest version (4.84) with SenEnabler, disable syscalls and so on with psnpatch, login in PS Network and activate the console...
