Hacking PS3 Downgrading Service

I'm not too fond of it. I like the E3 Station so I use it for my USB HDD game loading off the 360. I decided to sell it off, like Joe said i's really not meant to be removed, and reinstalled. I also wanted to get more practice with it, which I couldn't do due to my PS3 not being compatible. I don't want to mess up someone's PS3 by not being too educated in the use of it. So yes, I've stopped offering this service.

I'm leaving the original post bellow as it can be helpful and for historic purpose.

If you have a PS3 that you'd like downgraded to a exploitable firmware I'd be happy to oblige. I can only currently downgrade NOR PS3s,so no Phats yet. For those who don't know, getting your PS3 downgraded to a exploitable firmware means it will gain the ability to play downloaded games, homebrew, and such. If interested please send me a PM, after reading the below guidelines.

• If you end of sending me your PS3, please include a slip of paper with your Username, email, and address.
• If you do not do the above, I will keep your PS3 until you contact me.
• In order for me to return your PS3, I will require money for return shipping. (Include it with the PS3, or send it via Paypal.)
• Can't stress this enough. I will not install any games.

If you have any question feel free to post them in this thread, so that if other people have the same question it can be answered for them as well. For those not trusting me, I do have a bit of valid feedback in the trading forum. (Trading forum is only open to members with 100 posts, or more but I'm sure a member that meets the requirements will vouch for me.)





Warning: Cyan has informed me that the E3 Flasher automatically installs a CFW without Payload. Also your PS3 will brick if you install another over it, or try to install the 3.55 OFW over it. Until further notice, do keep this in mind.

NOTE: I have also heard that the E3 Flasher can unbrick PS3s, so if it's true I'll also do a unbricking service. There's a compatibility chart of the PS3s, that I'm able to work on. (Remember, until the E3 Flasher team comes out with a NAND clip I can only downgrade and unbrick(?) NOR PS3s that are downgradeable.)

Maybe you should tell the users that while using the E3 flasher to downgrade, it will install a custom Firmware 3.55 (without payload).

If the user think he has a clean, official 3.55 and ever decide that he wants to install a custom 3.55 over the downgraded console, it will brick his PS3.


Unless the 3E Flasher team released a clean way to downgrade which can have another 3.55 installed over, tell the user to NEVER install another 3.55 over the one you downgraded too.
They can update to a newer firmware, but not to another (custom or official) 3.55 firmware.

I don't know about downgrading to 3.55 with E3 flasher, then downgrading to 3.41 with software (Lv2Diag), then re-upgrading to 3.55. Maybe it's the solution to prevent brick after E3Flasher downgrade.

Last time I checked, it was not possible to replace the 3.55 without bricking.
If it's fixed, then I'll edit this message not to alarm users.

Please note after downgrade to 3.55, this 3.55 is a special CFW3.55, you can install any manager you love on this 3.55CFW! here we upload a good working multman manager for user.

Please note don't install any other 3.55FW after downgrade to 3.55, otherwise will have brick risk !

I have some experience with the YLoD, but sadly do not have a reflow station. (It's in my list of things to get if I get enough donations. Wouldn't a free repair service for Xbox, and PS3 be pretty neat?)
