Hacking PS TV 3.30 to 3.60

Hello there,

i got some problem with the PS TV whitelist patch.

I installed the whitelist patch on 3.30
now i wanted to use my memory card from my Vita
but in order to use the stuff on my card the PS TV tells me i need to update to 3.60
now with what i read it seems like the whitelist patch wont work after i do that.
Is there a way to use my savefiles on the older fw?
i really dont want to restart the games but i do want to use the PS TV for some of them.

If your Vita's firmware is higher than your PSTV's, you won't be able to use that memory card in the PSTV without either formatting it, or like you say, updating to the latest FW (NOT recomended by the way. )

What I would do is backup your current memory card contents to your PC, and then format the memory card while it's inside the PSTV. That way you will be able to use it with the PSTV, and also have a backup for your Vita stuff too, if you ever wanted to put back all the stuff you downloaded on the Vita.

well i would be able to use the card but i wouldnt be able to use all the stuff i bought on PSN + my savefiles.

Well if you are using the same PSN account for both devices, I would imagine you can transfer your save files + Vita content from the Vita to the PC, and then over to the PSTV, using QCMA.

i put the Whitelist hack on my PSTV now
but the game still says "Application not supported"

Not all games are fixed by the Whitelist hack. It's a shame, and there's currently no fix for it. :/

AFAIK, all games should work with both the whitelist patches applied.
Only most recent Firmware required games won't work, because they will ask you to update.

Also, always remember, that appllying the whitelist patch FILE and database triggers is not enough!
If you already had games installed in the system, for the patch to work, you have to manually edit the app.db file and edit the lines of the games in question so that they are "patched". The triggers won't patch already existing games in the system, only future installs.
Specifically, you'll have to change all games already installed from "gpc" or "gp" or "gdc" or ""gd" to "gdb".
Future installs, with the triggers active, won't need this modification.
