Well, not sure I understand why you'd want to, but you should be able to extend the size of the wad using any hex editor to just padding at the footer of it or something. I've never tried doing that so I don't know if the wad would still work after that, but I'm sure it'd be fine if you added the padding correctly.

it has no use to extend it, doesn't it?
it will only take up more space in nand...
