Hacking Professor Layton & Curious Village not working

I haven't played the ROM in a while now but today I opened it up and when it finishes loading, the screen turns white, it doesn't start up, and I can't do anything. I've tried this with both the sorft reset on and off. All my other games work. How can I fix this without starting over in the game? Thanks.

Try downloading a new rom. And make sure the new Rom has the same name as your save file so you don't need to start all over.

Sounds like a bad dump. I've heard this before so it's nothing strange. It depends on who did the dumping.

I've played this exact ROM ever since I started.
