Gaming Problems with the D-Pad

Around 2 days ago, the down button started behaving very awkwardly on my DSi. I managed to get to DiagnoSe, and it said that the down button on the D-Pad was pressed down. Whenever I press the Left or Right buttons, it would go Bottom Left, or vice versa. Feedback from the Up button didn't even register.

Anyway to fix this? I don't want to send it in for repairs, because it's $85 +S&H

Take it apart, make sure there is nothing stuck between the button pads and the mainboard?

Problem is, I'm not really familiar with the inner hardware of the DSi. I can't find a guide that details how to take apart and reassemble my DSi.. All I can find is one for the Lite..I really don't want to damage it..
