is there any point in a 004 patch? if you're able to patch you don't need bannerbomb
I agree. I don't see the point in people wasting time trying to find this patch. (No one has done it yet, right?)

I don't think so, but we still need Block Disk Updates. If I could get my hands on a Waninkoko patched 98.app that'd be great[I can't get his updater to work in SNEEK], but I don't want to break any rules, so..

Yes I ported the hacks myself thanks to SifJar's Blog. Here is my attempt at block disk updates (only found 4 of 6) Tested with sneek_sd, only tested with one game (Wii Play) but it worked. Needs more testing before we can confirm it's working.

CODE[Block Disc Updates]
version=513
offset=0x8137F76C,0x8137F5C0,0x8137F714,0x8137F718
value=0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000

[Force Wifi Connection Test Failure]
version=513
offset=0x81653580
value=0x746C642F

I have done it when checking if they fixed bannerbomb.
meh, if you've done it, you may as well release it, i'm sure someone will find a use. It'd be different if it wasn't found, and people were wasting time doing so.

Nice work. I tried with Muramasa NTSC and it blocked the update from it. I have one I'd like to ask you to port as a favour, if that's okay. Could you attempt Replace Health Screen with Backmenu, please?

P.S. does anybody have the source to Startpatch 4.2.6?
I saw the source for 4.2.4 on Wiibrew, but cannot find the source for 4.2.6, which is AFAIK the latest version.

If someone does have the source to StartPatch 4.2.6, may I please have a copy?
I've got it backed up, along with the proper data and PPC I'll sent it to you.

Not tested, but the patches to enable bannerbomb v2 again should be:

[Force Wifi Connection Test Failure]
version=513
offset=0x81529BE0,0x81529C40
value=0x48000040,0x48000040

This also assumes that bannerbomb v2 doesn't need to be modified in some fashion itself as well.

lol, missed the point that they changed their banner functions too
You did or somewiifun did? I'm assuming the later....

Also somewiifun: I think you forgot to change the name of the hack XD

EDIT: And somewiifun: Any chance you'd like to quickly explain that ASM? I don't understand it, but I'd like to try...

I have used SifJar's excellent guide for porting hacks.ini.
At the moment I am doing 4.3 PAL, 514.

I have tested just two, but it proves I'm getting the code right.

[Auto-Press A at Health Screen]
version=514
offset=0x813BDD54
value=0x48000034

[Move Disc Channel]
version=514
offset=0x813B0408
value=0x60000000

I loaded 0.4 r78 Priiloader on to 4.3E, also using magic word to edit.

BTW, I think (but not sure) there may be a simpler way than manually porting each patch. There may be an offset between PAL and NTSC-U, which can simply be added/subtracted to the offsets of each patch for NTSC-U to find the PAL patches. I'll see if that works....

EDIT: No, I'm wrong. Either that or one of the patches is wrong...The difference between the offsets for each patch there is different.

EDIT: Yeah, this is definitely wrong. Never mind.

I think it should be somewhere around 0x3290A3. I can't seem to find it neither.

Edit:
You could maybe try this:
CODE[Replace Health Screen with Backmenu]
version=514
offset=0x81658B94
value=0x8140A498

Really not sure, but you could try with Sneek

Hmm, I just came across this, and I was wondering if anyone could quickly update it with a load of new patches and perhaps make it write the results to SD/USB? Currently it finds (I think) the NoCopy patches, and the recovery patch, outputs the offsets of the NoCopy patches and then waits a minute and boots System Menu with recovery patch. Someone with a little knowledge of C and Wii programming should be able make it do what I suggested, and auto-generate a hacks.ini I think.

Here's the link, its by WiiCrazy: http://www.tepetaklak.com/data/crazymenunocopys.rar (source included)
I tried and failed to make it work

EDIT: Actually, someone try this please: http://www.mediafire.com/?zaei2ziyomm It should find the move disc channel patch and display the offset for it (probably minus 0x8132FAE0, but I should be able to fix that later if so), wait for a minute, then return to HBC I think. I can provide the source if necessary, but as I see no license, I don't think I need to provide it along with the download. If this works, I'll work on it a little more and add more patches.

BTW, you'll need ES_DiVerify in IOS36, and Trucha Bug. Possibly NAND permissions too, not sure. And you don't need to be on 4.3 to try it, try it on any System Menu to see if it works please

Sorry I'm late guys.

You guys were struggling with "Replace Healthscreen with Backmenu", yes?

So I ported this hack first.

MrDiesel, you got the location just right!
...but the value is not correct however.

Anyways:
Code:
[Replace Health Screen with Backmenu]
version=512
offset=0x816891B4
value=0x814096BC

[Replace Health Screen with Backmenu]
version=513
offset=0x816588D4
value=0x8140A368

[Replace Health Screen with Backmenu]
version=514
offset=0x81658B94
value=0x8140A4CC

[Replace Health Screen with Backmenu]
version=518
offset=0x8162D7BC
value=0x81409890
4.3E Replace Healthscreen with Backmenu tested as working. Other regions should work too.

Many thanks damysteryman, I was having trouble with the remove health warning.
I checked yours on my 4.3E and it works fine.

PS which system menu did you port it from, I tried a couple and failed, although others worked.

I ported it from 4.2E.

the Replace Healthscreen with Backmenu is a little different from the other hacks, since the value is different for each sysmenu.

Anyways...

I have finished porting all of the 4.2E hacks from da_letter_a's hacks.ini over to 4.3E!

I am still testing them though.
Once I finish testing them, I will start on 4.3U.

...I will not release the 4.3 hacks though until I have finished porting them to all 4 regions.

But...

Can someone on 4.3E please test this one:

Code:
[Block Disc Updates]
version=514
offset=0x8137F814,0x8137F818,0x8137F7BC,0x8137F7C0,0x8137F714,0x8137F718
value=0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000,0x60000000

I would, but my Wii refuses to prompt for an update even when the hack is disabled!
...or even if I don't have priiloader at all!

...so I cannot test this one.

Could someone please test this one for me?

Sorry unable to test at present.
Although with my system being on 4.3E I am reluctant to delete an IOS to force an update.
Can you think of another way to check.
