hey, this kinda confused me:
You will need the IOS used to boot the system menu to be patched with ES_Verify. This version of
the installer does NOT currently patch your IOS for you so please use DOP IOS or Free The Bug!!!

if im on 4.1u, what ios do i need to patch and what do i use to patch it?

Ok, I tried installing r4 it works but I can't seem to access the system menu from preloader after that as it reports "ES_Diversify error with system menu" or something like that. I can launch HBC though. Powering down the wii and restarting it simply throws me back to preloader again! Preloader settings were already set to boot from system menu as well. Can someone advise?

I am using HBC 1.0.3, system menu 4.1U & IOS60 is already trucha signed with DOP-IOS.

run pimp my wii 1.3, install ios60 with trucha and diverify patches ON (first and second patches), then your sysmenu will autoboot normally.

So after reading 15 pages from this topic, can this be solved by reinstalling the system menu, followed by running nandclean and reinstalling r4 again?

D34DL1N3R: I can't second that enough. I've been checkn every couple of hrs for the last two days. Not to rush anybody just excited about having full usb support again. That is running all homebrew from usb device instead of only sd card.

ok, so when you go press home from systemmenu are you autobooting to preloader or do you have it set to autoboot to systemmenu? if autoboot to preloader is set and when you get there you press systemmenu and then you get health screen then that is very strange. and i'm assuming that disable health menu is set in options.

what's the problem? are you complaining that you have to hit the A button on the health screen every time you return to the system menu?

cry me a river. That's just how sm4.2 likes to operate. If it bothers you that much then enable the auto press A hack in preloader.

and the rest of you lazy bums need to use a properly patched IOS70 already. sm4.2 was not meant to be run off of ios60

He's not on 4.2.
And he's not complaining. He's pointing out something that has changed between versions of preloader and wondering why the change was made. It is definitely preloader 0.30 that returns to the health screen rather than the system menu and I am also curious as to whether it was intentional or not. No big deal to press A, just curious.

not even press home from systemmenu but also from game. HBC.....
very strange... right?

Post #476 and Post #480 laurozza said that rev2 is no problem

I had try autoboot systemmenu and boot preloader then boot systemmenu...
but backmenu still become health screen

perhaps the nand boot code that was added for the installer is the culprit. That's something only phpgeek can look into because he only released an .exe file for that.

very unlikly
he used the same nand boot code from rev1 (i use the same nand boot code)

andymacross:

I'm totally lost. I have preloader v.30, with 4.1u and cIOS. I autoboot to usbloader.

: just boot up, straight to loader
: hold down reset, get preloader, select system menu no problem
: reset to preloader and select run installed file no problem
: go to system menu and press power button and restart go to usbloader
: while in usbloader press home and system reboots back to usbloader
: while in system menu press home and system reboots back to usbloader
: i go in to preloader and settings and set autoboot to system menu and set return to autoboot
: when in system menu if press home it autoboots back to system menu

Maybe I'm not doing the same thing as you but I don't have any problems whatsoever.
