If you are like myself and are interested in seeing what is being stored in the NAND itself by preloader I managed to get a version of FTPii which has a NAND dumper feature.
It's easier to use FS Browser (all the files are in shared2 - hacks_s.ini, hacks.ini, loader.ini and main.dol if you installed a dol)

I like this post. Simple and informative.

so what do you have to do to keep starfall installed? reinstall it after installing this? do you need to uninstall it first? or does this include all the starfall patches?

Awesome... so wouldnt that complete all the starfall hacks? then we could focus more on forcing the video for nonregion games...

I am still having trouble trying make sure that all the hacks that are in my hacks.ini file are actually enabled into the NAND. What is your comments on this bug, Wiicrazy?

Seems I can't toggle but the 1st 7 hacks when hitting A.

i installed preloader then installed gamma dol.every now and again i get a black screen when i load a game but get sound only,im using starfall and component cables
any body know what causes this

Well not installed preloader at the moment... now just trying to find where I put the answer to the riddle

possibly there should be a workaround... but some workarounds are normal for coders but not to the users so they are qualified as bugs... this is the case I guess for the hacks.ini stuff... I can comment on it better after I installed this thing...

Tested them. They work.

now no need to install and see myself, thanks!

When you guys are done coming up with all these .ini edits, can you send them to me, because I KNOW i'd mess up some way trying.

If you want them for pal,

run this http://www.tepetaklak.com/data/crazymenunocopystuff.rar

it will dump five addresses like Patch code found at blah blah...
let's call them a1, a2, a3, a4, a5

the patches are
a1 = 0x7C000000
a2 = 0x7C000000
a3+20 = 0x38600001
a4+12 = 0x3BE00000

a5+20 = 0x801D0024
a5+24 = 0x5400003C
a5+28 = 0x901D0024
a5+32 = 0x48000018

a1,a2,a3,a4,a5 are hexadecimal... (20,12... so on these are decimals...) just add them to the found addresses

ps: be quick to write them down... there is just 60 seconds... after 60 seconds it will boot the wii to the recovery menu... don't be afraid...

@Wiicrazy You have to enable autoboot... the one set to load as .dol/systemmenu/hbc

To disable the autobooting hold the reset button in when you turn the Wii back on. The preloader menu will appear and you can disable the autoboot if you please to and so on...

I have edited the 1st post with all the tools also required if you want to "play" with preloader.
