Is there any chance that we could have this without the need for PC[any time soon]? I mean, only on 3ds like SaveDataFiler?

It's a bit complicated to me =/
Making gba homebrew cia is the only way we know to inject saves. If a developer really want (and nobody want) he can port 3dstool, makerom and the python script to 3dsx/cia so it will make the cia on the console, and the part of backup the data folder can be done with some file manager.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I type SRAM in gen_rom.py and it closes, with or without quotes. Why is this?
when agb_inject ask you savetype you will only answer with a number
SRAM is 0,flash memory is 1 and EEPROM is 2
you have to put the same title id from the game you are injecting

Works great on Sysnand, but I can't seem to be able to play on Emunand. Always gives me the "Turn OFF power" error.
you shall only inject on SysNand!
and remember that you have to install AGB_FIRM patched in emunand too, to play gba games in emunand

Funny business that. I did inject in sysnand, and I'm sure I did patch it on emunand.

I'll check just in case, because I do recall maybe deleting and reinstalling emunand at one point.

EDIT: Yep. Gotta re-patch. Hurrr I'm a dumbass. LOL

Try to install the last one (3.5.1).
Managed to generate a cia somehow but it didn't seem to install over (overwrite?) the gba game. Are you guys sure I'm supposed to enter the unique id and not the title id? How am I supposed to enter it anyway? FBI and devmenu format it in different ways.

Title ID and Unique ID are the same thing.
You should enter it same way as title stored on SD card, in your case it should be 00c93700

Not trying to hate, I tried to help you in the switch noob thread by asking for you, but you don't want to accept the answers you got, so do whatever then.

@BigOnYa, Man, first of all thanks for your willing to help, much appreciated. But, it's not that I "don't want to listen", rather than I need soemone to EXPLAIN to me how and why all these are risky.

For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Yes ofc we don't know how Nintendo bans work, but if there are situations where a lot of people have tried safely then we can at least assume that this path is pretty much safe. To say don't try anything homebrew relative just to be safe forever is the easiest thing to say to someone. What I am trying to figure out here is with which cases and what actions got most of the people their bans for.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Most things I can find resulting to a ban is save-editing reasons, like Pokehex, etc, and going online afterwards.

I'm almost certain fucking Google fibers modems blocking out PPPoE signals
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Like the 6th time I had to reboot this router trying to get PPPoE active
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ken, your hamster inside it is hungry. Can't you turn POE on/off in your WiFi settings page? Or is it not staying on?

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Well, in that thread they say it's pretty much safe to manage save files back and forth to consoles as long as you don't go online with cheats activated or with a pirate game.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
I own every of my games legit with their own cartridges
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
also, I'm not planning to use any cheats, etc, just continue the normal gameplay on the emulator
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It only gives a internet settings option then it spazes out

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@ATEMVEGETA if you use save from other switch you may be ok, but using a save from emulator to switch will prob get you banned
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Under ipv4/6
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
The save file will be created and started normally on the Switch's OFW with a legit game. Then that save file will be transfered to the emulator and continue the gameplay there. Then send it back to the console.
