Dear bob Evil,

Go masturbate.

who said i was "pushing" the product. I originally wanted to have a discussion with people who had an interest in gaming and in powerballing as i do. I only have that banner because i'm trying to help the company by having it there because i don't feel it gets the full credit it deserves, that is for advertisement. My post was in no way supposed to be for advertisement reasons though, just for discussion.

You are a salesman ... simple as ... no justification or rationaliization will change that.

Another net huckster ...

Bob, please go read the rules. It says you are allowed to advertise in your signature, and this is simply a discussion about PowerBalling (which I think is fun although it starts to hurt my wrist after a while, with every gyration my wrist clicks...)

It hurts your wrists after a while? If i do it too long i start getting bruises on my thumbs, like i have now. I also have two blisters on my pinkies and one on my right palm. I want to get a foot attachment cuz it seems like that would be a lot of fun without blisters involved but I'm not even sure my feet would be able to do it.

do any of you guys have foot attachments? I'd like to know how hard it is to get a hang of so i don't waste my money on something that's near impossible to do.

Powerball's just a brand name because of how fast the rotor can move and because of the ammount of torque it produces. It's pretty much just a gyro that you build up to go faster by rotating it by its axis. It's really hard to explain, the website does it a little better but the best way to figure it out is probably to see if any of your friends have one. If you just buy one on your own, it'll probably take you a whole lotta time to figure out exactly how to do it so it's best if you have someone who already knows how.

i bought a cheap, shitty one off the web a couple of years ago, but it does the job. I was surprised at the amount of force the thing can generate.

I could never set it going with my thumbs like that Akis guy can.

How does this compare to something like working out with dumbells? Just wondering how much "weight" it feels like. Like how much rpm=lbs?

Powerballs are far different to standard weights (or at least any resembling a standard routine). I have no idea about imperial measurements but it rates around the sort of thing some joggers use which may not sound a great amount but when it use pulling your wrist in ways not normally done it does not matter.

re: starting it. I can use my thumb but my leg is so much easier.

The good thing about powerballs are that they don't have a set weight to them. They put as much weight as you can hold, because if you can't hold the weight you won't be able to push the rotor any faster. But, in order to give one an understanding about the "maximum" weight (which doesn't really exist because there's no limit to how fast it can go) the website states that the powerball can exert an excess weight of 40 lbs. I'm guessing this weight happens around 16,000 rpm or so to answer your other question. When exerting your maximum effort to speed up the rotor and trying to hold that speed, the powerball can be really tiring and you will feel the burn..... haha.

Ps. Weight is measured in foot*lbs (footpounds), which is torque and not gravitational weight.
