OK I see there are 2 forwarders, which one is the better one to use, also how do I make the dol file into a forwarder wad? thanks
If you want the wad, just use my channel, the dol forwarders are just for installing to priiloader to make postloader easier to update (and in my opinion, the dol file in my post is the better of the two dol forwarders, just because it can load postloader from multiple locations, I am not trying to offend Albatroz or anything)
dont worry man,,, i didnt create a forwarder channel cause stfour uses Priiloader to load Postloader. Thats reason I created Priiloader forwarder. to avoid reinstall new betas everytime.

stfour If you start up without a wiimote then get the message

"Point the screen with the wiimote!"

Then that's you stuck, so no real GC Pad support, HBC and other loaders can support both wiimote and GC Pad.

Waver already requested it. And support for nunchuk and cg controllers will be added to the next realease.

In a clumsy sort of way, you can already move channels around (enter that interactive mode and then select the order you want your channels to appear). But drag 'n drop channel moving would be a nice thing, yes.

(though I consider channel access and obcd's module implementation much more important right now

).

Yes, but if you wanted to say, have a single channel located away from the others at the bottom, you can't do that currently.
Example:
Lets say you have 5 channels. But you want the fifth one located on the bottom of the row, away form the others. When you sort the channels currently, they just come out one after the other in whatever order you selected.

I was just looking for way to add spaces (blank channels) between channels so I could move some channels down or even to another page even if the current page isn't filled yet.

I'm curious... why you should need spacing ?

I'd like to put the apps on different pages (2,3,4,5) instead of page1 so when the kids keep pressing A waiting impatiantly for postloader to autoload (wiiflow) they dont load an app that could do harm. Or maybe press 1&2 instead of A for interaction mode?

Actually You shuld use a subfolders for "dangerous" applications...

Anyway the in a future release (not sure in b5, I'm working on other things) will have the capability to hide applications, and show them after a password checking. It is in the TODO.

Just the way I order my stuff. Here's an "example"; the black squares are channels the white empty spaces are blanks:
wiichannels.gif

I have 4 channels that are subfolders that I'd like to keep all in one row. I'm a little OCD, so I like my stuff to be a certain way. Symmetry is a big thing for me. But like I said it's just an eye candy idea.

But...that isn't symmetrical...

Here's an "example" Notice the quotes. I knew somebody was going to call me on that. I just whipped up a quick pic. It was just to show everyone what my idea was.

I don't really understand what your point is. Yeah, you put quotes round example. Does that mean that I could say Barack Obama is an "example" of a white woman? No. It doesn't. But that is essentially what you are saying. Putting quotes around something means you can use something completely unrelated as an example to illustrate your point, going by what you say. Which completely defeats the point of an example.

I have no objection to the image in itself, or symmetry (I myself like symmetry too, bit OCD myself I reckon), but the image isn't an example of symmetry, nor is it an "example" of symmetry.

I agree that it would be a nice feature for organization purposes. In the mean time, you could always add some dummy "channels", using the forwarder DOL posted previously in this thread (so it would just reload postLoader), a blank PNG and a meta.xml with a blank title. I think that'd work. Of course, you'd need to add as many as you would need...Just a thought.

hmm not tested, but I wonder if an empty file .. boot.dol would be better, no idea how it would be handled, but maybe if clicked it would just refuse to load and then avoid reloading postloader.

At people wanting system menu channels, forwarders etc, send me a pm I will make a few, then put links somewhere.
Send me the channel id (like 0001000248414341 ) (to save me converting
tongue.gif
) /path, or buttons pushed, held, released etc let me know. Also it would be better for everyone if you find out the 3 region id's. I wont do art or xmls though.

stfour great stuff

Code for channel loading - Can I make it smaller with the vid code ?
#include
#include
#include
#include

static void *xfb = NULL;
static GXRModeObj *rmode = NULL;

s32 WII_LaunchTitle(u64 titleID);

//---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
int main(int argc, char **argv) {
//---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIDEO_Init();

// Obtain the preferred video mode from the system
// This will correspond to the settings in the Wii menu
rmode = VIDEO_GetPreferredMode(NULL);

// Allocate memory for the display in the uncached region
xfb = MEM_K0_TO_K1(SYS_AllocateFramebuffer(rmode));

// Initialise the console, required for printf
console_init(xfb,20,20,rmode->fbWidth,rmode->xfbHeight,rmode->fbWidth*VI_DISPLAY_PIX_SZ);

// Set up the video registers with the chosen mode
VIDEO_Configure(rmode);

// Tell the video hardware where our display memory is
VIDEO_SetNextFramebuffer(xfb);

// Make the display visible
VIDEO_SetBlack(FALSE);

// Flush the video register changes to the hardware
VIDEO_Flush();

// Wait for Video setup to complete
VIDEO_WaitVSync();
if(rmode->viTVMode&VI_NON_INTERLACE) VIDEO_WaitVSync();

WII_LaunchTitle(0x0001000248414341ULL);

return 0;
}
Guide how to make them. 1-get devkit n libs. 2-copy an example project to another dir. 3-Open the main/template etc .c. 4-Copy the above code and replace what's in the main.c Oh... change the chan ID.. almost forgot 4-clean,make, run....

Got a LOT of channels ? Get Triiforce/Mighty Channels
smile.gif
Got lots of channels and system channels ? Edit TF/MC source and it can load system channels too....

It was just an example. Not of symmetry, true, even though I stated the reason for the feature was symmetry. No doubt that's probably where the confusion began.

QUOTEbut the image isn't an example of symmetry, nor is it an "example" of symmetry.
The quotes were supposed to relay that it was "just" an example of said feature, not how I'd implement said feature. Meaning it was just an example...no more no less.

As for your fix to said problem. It will work as you have described. Maybe with the ability to hide channels I will put your idea into motion. Thank you.

I'm back to development... I hope to be able to release b5 before the end of the next week.

So... I need to choose a way...

Would you like to have triiforce integrated in postLoader ?

Or just regular channels is ok ?

If I include nand emulation (via integrating triiforce) inside postLoader, then it will depend on a cIOS.

Let me know what you think...
