I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm running 5.5.1, and I followed the directions exactly. I put the TCPGecko on the SD card, I launch the kernel, I launch the HBC and run TCPG. I press X, it takes me back to the main menu..but then it freezes when I try to launch the browser again. Every single time. I have to use the browser to launch my game, but it always freezes after activating TCPG. Any ideas?

heres what i do. Im using gecko dNET.exe the one where you put the debug folder on desktop(5.5.1) https://www.mediafire.com/?mmrjcl8e27b1uri this one.. i go to loadiine.ovh in wiiu browser and load tcpgecko +kernel 5.5.1 twice until it says tcpgecko loaded... than i go to loadiine.ovh one more time and load homebrew launcher 1.3 5.5.1.. in the settings of loadiine make sure you have pygecko enabled load whatever game you want with super smash bros mode... press home when the game loads go to internet explorer enable developer options and it will give you youre wiius ip address. load up tcpgecko dotnet and put in youre ip address it will give you an error just press continue and if you see the error than you know it connected successfully.. just make sure you search values with a memory range of 10 and convert youre decimal to hex and search from 10000000 to 15000000 than 15000000 to 20000000 and so on and so on until you find the values that you want... takes some time to get the hang of things but any game can be hacked this way but alot of games wont let you connect if you have the disc version(donkey kong tropical freeze smash bros mario kart)pokken tournament works on disc though but you can only mod money. have to download a loadiine version...

Does Gecko dot net work with BullyWiiPlaza's version of TCPGecko? Seem to act really weird when I tried to use it.
i could never get jgecko workin either and im a genius lol

That's a good idea. I want to request Pokken lol.

If you're trying to 100% the game, I uploaded my 100% save in the Wii U saves thread if you want to download it.

It would save you the trouble at least.
youre wiiu save will only work on youre wiiu no one else can make it work(trust me ive tried everything).. as far as pokken the only thing i was able to mod was cash. i tried skill points, online wins but couldnt make nothing stick. even tried on disc version and downloaded another loadiine version nothing worked for me except money

I tried what you said, but loading the kernel+TCPG wont let me load loadiine. It just white screens. I'm so confused. I miss how easy it was to softmod the Wii. There needs to be an up to date guide for this..

Am I doing something wrong here? Every video I watch is either outdated or exactly what I'm already doing. It's impossible to launch Loadiine after starting up Pygecko and even if I don't start it up, launching a game in Loadiine with Pygecko option on, the game won't even launch. This does work with 5.5.1 right? I just want to use the XCX trainer -_-

do you have homebrew launcher app on youre sd card? does loadiine work if you dont use tcpgecko? did you choose homebrew launcher v1.3? (seems to work better than 1.4) are you using the loadiine specifically for 5.5.1?

Turn pygecko off it will still work i believe

Yes, HBL is on my card and Loadiine launches fine if I don't run TCPG. I tried bth versions, it won't load after activating Py.

disable pygecko and try it although it shouldnt make a difference

It works without Pygecko. Homebrew Launcher just won't activate after activating TCPGecko. I get to the step where I install CosmoCortney's Codehandler and then launch a game. TCPGecko is doing something it shouldn't. I don't get why activating it blocks my HBL.

Lol, rather the opposite :D

Also no, TCP Gecko.NET and JGecko U are not 100% compatible anymore. Either one will act weird since no TCP Gecko Installer exists which supports both of them properly. Use the "old" TCP Gecko Installer for TCP Gecko.NET from here or here. For JGecko U use this one.

Are cheat codes compatible between the old TCP Gecko and your version (There are no address changes; If I were to find an address from TCP Gecko.NET using the old code handler, I would expect it to work with your version of TCP Gecko)?

Oh :(
I just saw that wj44 uses the "new" homebrew launcher layout, mine the old (which I recommend you keep using) and the browser one is also different from the homebrew launcher.

dont use cosmo courtney its outdated and doesnt work... I never use it... thats probably why you cant get it working.. loading tcpgecko twice though loadiine.ovh makes it so you dont need cosmo courtney or any other steps that you used to need

Hmm ok, I'll try that. So just run the installer again and choose the other option to not use the codehandler? I'll report back if it works.

No luck. I reinstalled TCP without the codehandler and still no dice. If I run loadiine and choose TCP + Kernel and run it twice, I can then use my disc games fine with no issues. But if I try and run Haxchi or HBL, it just gives me a black screen and a long endless beep noise.

Edit: If I run Haxchi, I get the beep. If I run loadiine again and launch HBL through there, it works. BUT all of my games crash when the Pygecko option is toggled in GX2. So it doesn't matter because I can't use the codes.

Ive found 2 codes for new super luigi bros U for lives. I can manually poke them. When I create a code and send it. The lives change but when i start the world over the game freezes. I'm I doing something wrong? I've tried to figure out how to search for pointers but don't know if I'm doing it right.

Maybe that pointer is not a good one, try another pointer.

dont use the tcpgecko app at all the one on the sd card is not needed. dont even download it to your sd card its a waste of time... as soon as youre wii u loads up go straight to loadiine.ovh tcpgecko +kernel 5.5.1 do it twice until it says tcpgecko loaded.. than load up homebrew launcher and loadiine.. pygecko enabled isnt mandatory its just my preference but do whatever works for you ...
