My code for speed hack does not have pointer and the values never moves. And it's work for all player, in water, in gravity...
Good luck if you want to found it
I understand. So you have modified the CCM value or some sort of constant float? Because that would affect everyone
My code affects the z-acceleration what gives you and all others insane velocity. Even backwards if you want. But the code consists of 12 pointer codes.

How do we create cheats that freeze/loop the value? Or on button press (I did that before once... )

Yes, it would, but changes are a bit smaller to find a working pointer code. For me, approx 80% of all pointer addresses are found in range 10000000 - 18000000. But there are always some in higher ranges
These codes seem to be region-depended. You could upload a RAM dump from range 10000000 - 48000000 and I could try porting it
Well, I have a PAL version.. Since you'Re from the USA I supposed you have the NTSC-U copy, don't you?
Which ones did you test?
Timers can be present as floats and 32bit integers. Your addresses' values seem to be incremented each frame or something.
The timer in Pikmin 3 is a float from 0x00000000 - 0x3F800000. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess use floats from 3F800000 - 43B40000 or something (don't remember the exact value). F-Zero GX uses a 32bit integer.
When your in a level, do an unknown value search (32bits) as soon as the race has started (who knows if the timer is FFFFFFFF or something like that before the countdown is over).
wait a few seconds, then pause the game. Do a greater than search. Unpause, wait a few seconds and pause again for the next greater than search. Repeat this step a couple times. Restart the race (do not change your character or the course. simply restart) and pause the game right after the countdown. Now do a less than search. Let the time passing a bit and so greater than searches. Do this until you are left with a few codes only and poke them
EDIT:
Here's the Player #1 Gravety Modifier for MK8 (PAL, Disc, v2.0)
[4427FB4C] + 5044 3E000000
this should give you moon physics
I have just found a speed code that works in Time Trails and GP. But I don't know if it's the same @Méga-Mew has made..
I'm also unsure about posting it due potential online cheating. But I really want to make speed codes for all opponents + p1 because this would be fun. What do you think?
If you don't mind telling, I would be very interested to know how you found the gravity value! I can't think of any way to locate it because it's not changing. If you told me, then I could also make an NTSC-U code for that using your method.
I found a speed code too! Mine works by modifying P1's max speed value. I found the value by comparing it with itself with or without of mushroom or star in effect. It's not global. It must be done to every player to make the race fair!
Also, I just noticed that the OP is very out of date. If you want, you could add me to the edit list, and I could try to keep it up-to-date.
This topic is maybe not the best place to keep a loooot of spoiler and tags.
Maybe the wiki would be a better place (but there's no spoiler tag)? until someone create a dedicated place like geckocodes.org
LOL, because I hadn't messed with Cafiine yet! However, I did have TCP Gecko running perfectly. Once I figure out Cafiine, I'll look into this rumored file speed hack.

So we have made the same speed code. just for different regions
Well, the gravety value is presented by 3F800000 close behind the speed's address. There should be 3 or 4 of these values right behind each other. the first one is the gravity

@CosmoCortney, the OP is now updated! I added my two codes, and your Gravity Modifier. If any of your other codes work without pointers (I can't test them without a PAL MK8.), just put them in the PAL MK8 2.0 spoiler I made!
My ETA for Uwizard Gecko is 1 - 3 weeks. It depends on how long it takes me to understand tcp Gecko dotNET's source code. Here is a list of the features it will have:
Memory searching in Wii U or dumps.
Pointer searching in Wii U or dumps.
Memory viewing in Wii U or dumps. (with snapshots too)
Disassembler in Wii U or dumps.
Address watcher.
GCT code handler.
Raw memory dump.
Multi-poke and single poke.
If someone knows how to pause and unpause the game from gecko, that would also be a great feature!

Huh? That's the second thing about the tcp gecko I'm using that's different than everybody else's. May I please have a link to where you got tcp gecko.
