My cheat code must be an pointer but when I use the pointer search tool to find the pointer code but the tool dont find any pointer. Did I have to get more dump files ?

what should the float represent?

I have this game (Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition) and on PC ( cheat engine, check image) the value type seems to be the same on wiiu too I think. I was able to find the 4 byte address by doing some comparison but I don't know how to get to the float value

I'm using 5.5.1 and Loadiine with pyGecko and the game freezes everytime I try to connect with JGeckoU no matter what game title and ID I use. Anyone know how I can run pyGecko with a game disk? Or do I need to be on 5.3.2 for that?

You can change the value type to float before starting the search.
but tbh, I personally prefer to search for floats in their hex scheme by learning what which float represents and could represent. Getting a feel of which one could be the right one.

keep in mind that:
0x00000000 = 0
3E800000 = 0.25
3F000000 = 0.5
3F800000 = 1.0
3FC00000 = 1.5
40000000 = 2.0
40400000 = 3.0
40800000 = 4.0
41000000 = 8.0
41800000 = 16
42000000 = 32
43000000 = 128
44000000 = 512

0x80000000 = -0
BE800000 = -0.25
BF000000 = -0.5
BF800000 = -1.0
BFC00000 = -1.5
C0000000 = -2.0
C0400000 = -3.0
C0800000 = -4.0
C1000000 = -8.0
C1800000 = -16
C2000000 = -32
C3000000 = -128
C4000000 = -512

For example, if you are playing a Wind Waker and you move around Link his float will change between 0x00000000 (when standing still) and 0x40400000 (running)
You can assume velocities to be between 0x00000000 and 42000000. Y-acceleration when falling down often up to 0xC4000000 or even more.
but those floats can look very differenlty on other games.
Where all games look in common are the coordinates. they can be assumed to be between 0x40400000 - 0x48000000 and 0xC0400000 - 0xC8000000 once you have moved away from the center of the level.

To be honest, it took me some time to get a feel for that. But this is the way I could find a speed code for StarFox Zero within a few minutes, the coordinates of the cows on the MK8 track moo moo meadows and so on :)

How do I run JGeckoU with a Loadiine game without it freezing?? And is there a size that lets me run pyGecko to use on an original game disk??

As far as I'm aware, you can't. JGeckoU requires a modified kernel exploit and a modified gecko codehandler in order to work properly. Loadiine uses a different modified kernel exploit, and a different version of the gecko codehandler. Unless dimok has managed modify the modified kernel and codehandler exploits to work with Loadiine and Homebrew Launcher. I've read some people saying they got it to work by unchecking the inject codehandler checkbox, so you could try that, but I don't know what exactly the ramifications of doing so are.

I tried running it without injecting the code handler, and it connects, but that's it. I can't do anything more. Do I need python to run pyGecko? What exploit will work with it? And would I be able to use it on a real game disk?

After lot of test right now on my side, I can use JGecko only with legit games ( Disc or HDD) by running "Kexploit with no loadiine", then "Pygecko installer", the legit game, then connect with the "code handler checked and no game name or id" got no error or freeze.

I used Kexploit too! Where's the pygecko installer? Do I need python? Would I run it from the homebrew menu? I need a .elf file for that.

  • Run the special kernel exploit that enables memory mirroring *here*

  • Run the special pyGecko version that does not reset MMU *here*

  • Open JGecko U

  • Click "connect"

Well, I am using the self hosting methode using Wampserver.
Inside I have 2 kexploits, one with loadiine that make you able to launch loadiine or HBL later and the other keploit without loadiine that can't launch loadiine or HBL but no problem with Pygecko

Some people really refuse to read the first post. It explains how not to freeze with JGecko U :mellow:

Yeah but then you lose cheat code support still.

Ok, I just tried my Mario Kart disk, when it asked me about name and id, I cliked OK ( left everyting empy) and no problem till now
Maybe try this Pygecko installer . You need to host somewhere first!

I'm using the exploit and pygecko on wj44.ml website.
Dunno what to say man, the two link from wj44:
  • Run the special kernel exploit that enables memory mirroring *here*

  • Run the special pyGecko version that does not reset MMU *here*

seems to work perfectly fine on my side with MK8 or any other legit games

Yes it works!! :D I'm k31 exploit and hosting pyGecko myself, tried it with both fields blank and it works! :D

Well, good for you now!!!
By the way, anyone have Mario Maker hack for jump or invincibilty? I think it is time to complete all the troll and hard levels online before the new update comes.
