Hacking Possible to transfer saves from 3DS XL to N3DS XL? (Gateway)

hey everyone,
I've been playing MH4U like crazy with my Gateway on my regular 3DS XL.. and was wondering;
will it be able to transfer my save that I have on here to my NEW 3DS XL once Gateway releases their update to work on the N3DS?

Would suck to start all over again.. I have my NEW 3DS already but its just sitting waiting for Gateway to get off their vacation.

Yes, the save would still work. Just move/copy the .sav file from your old 3DS's SD card to the New3DS's microSD card and you're good to go.
