For people that have an EZ Flash V and have tested Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, does the game run better if you patch it through the hybrid tool or if it is a clean rom? I guess I should mention that I have the good Japan fast Kingston 1GB card, so compatibility is going to be as good as it should get. I had all sorts of freezes with this game on my EZIV and kinda want to play through the game again without interruption.

Play it and see would be the simplest route: some have had it working as is and others have to patch it (it seems to be one of the few roms that matters), it should only take 2 mins to test and see if it will crash (flick through all the menus really quick and speak to people).

Using a standard Sandisk 1GB MicroSD with speed setting 10, a hybrid ROM makes a world of difference in regards to stability.

Using a Kingston 1GB SD-C01G JAPAN with speed setting 3, no difference.
