tbh I can't really make a conclusion. every consoles had its own pros and cons.
NES and SNES was both legendary and they dominated the market but is kinda old and basic to be compared with future units. Can't deny that it's one of the greatest ones though.
N64 had lots of stunning games and its revolutionary analog control, with games like SM64 and Zelda OOT which literally defined the 3D game controls on console. but it still used cartridges which caused lots of third-parties to move to Sony, and (kinda) low quality for remaining games. This is also the point where nintendo started to go downhill.
GameCube was another magnificent console, With the title: first ever nintendo console that utilized optical media. GC controller is still one of the comfiest one I've ever used, Games were stunning as always, but large amounts of third parties didn't really come back. did they sell well? not really... but It was heavily underrated atm.
Wii is yet another revolution done by Nintendo, followed by DS. It was so revolutionary that even its codename was Revolution(a.k.a RVL)! With its exclusive motion controller, It offered fundamentally different gaming experience from traditional consoles. While it was the best one for light gamers, kids and for family console, It wasn't really targeting for core gamers- since Wiimote wasn't able to give gamere the traditional controlling mechanics, as well as its weak hardware which was basically just overclocked GC. It was very much outdated compared to same gen consoles.
Wii U shows what happens when you take your creativity too far- It was too revolutionary that it flopped so hard. big ass gamepad was useful and served its own purpose, providing another unique experience- but at the same time it sucked. heavy, hard to grab due to big ass screen. hardware was still too weak, and third parties still didn't care.
Now Switch is something new. Yet another creative console- which can "Switch" between handheld and TV console. hardware was remarkably powerful compared to previous ones designed by nintendo. Controller was still kinda weird and utilized motion controls, but this time it was bit more closer to traditional controliing scheme, as well as pro controller which is now compatible with almost every games. but, It also introduced hardware durability issue which have never been in nintendo consoles.
If you ask me, I can't decide the best console here.
