ROM Hack Pokepatch 3-in1 Platinum?

Any chance i get a how-to-do-this-very-complicated-thing on my cyclods?
using platinum rom and fire red rom?
I'm really dumb so i need a very easy instructions if possible

You said you have a cyclods... can you also specify your gba cart ?

At least you can try the "dongle" option (new wild pokemon depending on the gba cart inserted) with the emulator method

A method for platinum -> fire red on 3in1+??

Im using AR code for Platinum, the game detects fire-red, but says "corrupt save..."

Im back to fire red and savefile is perfect =\

Cory I just had a great idea on how you can make this patch idiotproof with existing code and little effort. This would also solve some of the scenarios under which running a nonpatched pokemon ROM with EZ corrupts the EZ save, which if you remember I have tried to solve 6 months ago and completly failed.

Instead of checking if the L button is pressed or not

"if L pressed then PATCH else SKIP"

you can change it into this

"if SLOT-2 savetype IS NOT eeprom then PATCH else SKIP"

ALL pokemon GBA games are EEPROM so this makes it so that the game will always run clean when a genuine pokemon GBA game is in the slot and always run patched when an EZflash is in. The patching process also becomes transparent and users simply know that whatever they're putting in - EZ or genuine game - their DPP will always work correctly with it. Can you do that?

I was looking for this too but for an EZ Flash IV and an original Pokémon Pearl and Platinum card for now I said "bother it" and just traded my Leaf Green (EZ Flash IV) Pokemon to my Fire Red (Original) card.

Shame this doesn't work on my N-Card. It only works on my G6DS Real, getting the "corrupted save" error on the N-Card :/

Getting corrupt save with original carts and pokepatched ezflash on supercard EOS. My guess is that GBA-DS communication isn't properly supported yet. But it used to work on the old OS, so my guess is that if it isn't working for someone it's cause of the firmware.

Hoping cory will update this for HGSS.

Drat, that's just what I was looking for, Pokepatch HGSS.

At least I have two DSes and flashcarts so I can use other gen 4 games to do it, but it would be nice to not need the extra step.

I got an EXFlash 3in1 just so I could migrate to Platinum, and I'm happy to say that it worked flawlessly. I know nothing about how these things work, but I managed to figure it out. I even managed to somehow get my Emerald save that I used on my PSP, through a GBA emulator on the PSP, to work on EZFlash. Thanks, Cory!
