Hmm...Wish I knew that two hours ago XD Oh well, nothing like wasted time.

Usually I wouldn't be bothered, but after the E4 the trainer level jumps from 50 to 65. 6 lvl 50's don't stand well against 3 lvl 65's. Even worse Cynthia, I got obliterated...twice. It seems like Nintendo has also punished the equal trainer, I'd have no problem if I used just one or two Pokémon from the off, but 6 just aren't strong enough.

So I spent some time trading stuff around from my legit SS to my legit jap diamond for nothing. Bring on a patch or pokésav because with no Vs seeker grinding takes along time.

If you have a legit japanese diamond then transferring pokemon to black shouldn't be a problem for you. This is only a problem to those that have US 4th gen games and flashcard users (this hits me hard on both of these).

Black is on an R4, It can't be done. Unless there's some BS about not knowing HM's or holding items.

That could be the problem. When transferring your pokemon cannot be holding any items or know any HM move.

If your 4th gen games are on flashcards, then there is no way of getting them off unless a new pokesav comes out.

Also, I did some info scouting just to see if this was a flashcard issue and it turns out even legit black cards cannot accept transfers from usa games.

Edit 2 - Another thing to keep in mind is that even if you have legitimate carts of 4th gen gens, you're still screwed if you want to transfer stuff over.

You can send PKM files to IRL legit 4th-gen cards over wifi... there's a thread about it with tools and instructions in the hacking section.

if i have Pokemon White (J) in a flashcard, and i want to transfer over my pkmn from my original Pokemon Diamond (U) card, it will work? =S

Transferring is region locked. You'll need a japanese diamond to transfer your stuff over.

Indeed it was, thanks. The pokéshifter game works on the 4th gen ds, my top screen is broken on that one, the mini game is impossible if you can't see XD

I'd rather buy pokemon games rather than going through all this hassle. Pokemon games are the only types of games I buy

(That's like 1 DS game a year).

There is gonna be a program where you can import your old pokemon so I wouldn't worry. With region locking, the eur emerald was able to connect with a us diamond at the time so I trust the situation will be the same.

And really, even without the old mons, this game is great with the huge selection we have now.

If you edit child_1 and child_2 you also need to edit utility.bin.
Something bothers me about utility .bin though
at hex address 1716 starting at HEX Value 65 and ending at address 178E ending at value 67 are the following .bmg.l files

"eng.bmg.l fre.bmg.l ger.bmg.l ita.bmg.l jap.bmg.l kc_m.NFTR.1 1c_s.NFTR.1 spa.bmg.l usa.bmg.l"
Clearly we can see that there is ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN, JAPANESE SPANISH AND UNITED STATES here.
I wonder what the "kc_m.NFTR.1" and "c_s.NFTR.1" are.

Still if you change NTRJ to NTRE or NTRU then be sure to do the same to child_1, child_2 and utility.bin because you are changing a pointer will become a floating pointer and break the download utility.

I am currently changing the NTRJ in child_1 child_2 and utility to NTRE, if that fails, I'll try once again with NTRU but I am going by what my Heart Gold Cartridge says: "NTR-IPKE-USA" NinTendo Retailcode IPK(E = Language) USA(Sell Region)
That's why I think I need to change NTRJ to NTRE that is clearly looking for the cereal in the ROM.


Changing anything with NTRJ will cause the download app to not function.
So screw this, I'm going to grab a cheat code and use Pokesav to generate the cheat code and see what happens.

Somebody please get back to me if you are able to get Zorua. I was not able to get it but it may be because I was using Walk thru walls and just started a new game, accessed the PC and then skipped to Hiang City. The guy that you talk to get the transfer machene on wouldn't even let me access the menu to activate it.

Gah sorry guys, my code does not work. I'll try trading the celibi back and fourth between two games and see what happens.

Guess what, people that use flashcards are unable to access the union room! There is still AP in the game!

Screw this, I am going to just friggen genereate a cheat code to add Zorua into box 8 slot 7

Sorry about that guys, I over-reacted there.
Union room works now, I used Rudolph's v2 Patch for Black. It does not patch white because White lets you access the union room without the need to a patch! WTF!?

My code does not work, I guess it is only good for those that wish to just have a Celebi.

The only way to get the Eigakan Celebi to work is of COM fixes his PokesavBW so it will work on Windows XP. Right now PokeSavBW 0.0.0.1 does not run on Windows XP at the moment.

No, you need a legit Jap copy to transfer for now
