ROM Hack Pokemon Platinum Question

I was testing YSMenu right so I got the latest savlib.dat and everything and installed it fine. I ran it no problem. I am in Jubilife City right now just testing random stuff. My .SAV file is 512kb. So when does it be 1MB? Does it be 1MB automatically or what?

Im using the R4DS which can't get me 1MB so I used YSMenu

The Platinum .sav can be either 1MB or 512kb.
The official game uses 1MB but it is split... actual save info takes up 512kb but it is duplicated and this copy is stored incase of savefile corruption.
There should be no problem with either size as platinum supports both.
(some people claim to have had problems using 512kb (4MBit) which were fixed by switching .sav type to 1MB (8MBit) but this was never confirmed as being caused by the .sav size being less than 1MB, more rumors)
Everything should be fine as is... game on.
