I would really like to know why this matters. Raikou and Entei = Useless (from a competitive point of view at least), Suicune = Has all the moves it needs.

Shinies don't really matter, they're just for show.

I have no idea what they use now. GTS hacking or something or just distribution over your network. I don't know, and I can't do it because I still use the Nintendo Wi-Fi- USB Connector.

Yeah.. entering the GTS and the desired Pokemon suddenly appears in your party.
The thing is I use legit Pokemon (anti-pokesav freak) so yea.

On the note of being legit or not, the PKM files from the event sites are carbon copies of the event ones, they have people in various countries that get an event pokemon and rip the PKM out of their save file.

EDIT: So they're not legit, but they are legal (game-wise).

Not legal are ones that have been modified where the stats or values don't match up, or exceed certain values. For example a charmander with hydro pump, but it also goes down into how the PID, IVs, gender, and abilities are linked.

Bulbapedia has almost all the math on how things in-game are calculated...

But most people that would hack a pokemon don't care and are too lazy to do that, so they only modify the shit they want, so it's generally very easy to determine if a pokemon has been hacked (Nintendo GTS will even detect a lot of common stuff) because the values simply won't add up properly.

I love you for this. I truly do. And downloading the save would require a flashcart right? Is there anyway to get the Shiny Raikou from your savefile to my original save?
