I read somewhere that the pokewalker wont work with Flashkarts because it has a special IR sensor

is that true???

i thought that it worked via ds wireless communication (E.g. ds download play, or playing with other people wirelessly)....

The Pokéwalker is a Pokéball Shaped pedometer which can connect to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver game cards via infrared signals. The player can transfer one Pokémon to the Pokéwalker at a time. Every time the player takes a step, the Pokémon inside gains experience points and the player earns "Watts", a new type of in-game currency. It will come bundled with the games."
