I do not like dutch games but this Would not be wrong!

Mean reason

Holland is to ```small`` so they wont sell to much.

Why would they want to do that? Not enough people would buy it for Nintendo to translate the whole game which is a LOT of work.

Besides, I'm guessing you're just too lazy to learn some proper English?

Yes there are. And they're managing fine right now, aren't they? Maybe there will be a Dutch version in 10 years when 1-click-translating is possible, but not anytime soon.

It takes a lot of work, but as proven with Professor Layton (Pandora's Box), it is possible.
Then again, as Brawler said, the Dutch market is too small for so much work to be put in it (and of course I would guess you yourself would just pirate it.)

I think they don't make enough profit if they did. It's a waste of time for Nintendo I bet. And i learned English through Pokémon games, haha.

So I don't mind Pokémon games aren't in Dutch.

I am working at a Dutch translation for HG.
I translated the intro, some menu's, most of New Bark Town, battles (not complete yet), and some other things.
But it contains some bugs.

I wouldn't do it to be honest, look at the dutch translations that were used in Drawn to life: the next chapter, those suck too
You're just taking the awesome english-ness of the game, trust me, if you translate it, everyone will be saying it was a waste of time afterwards

Yes, I know, but it's only created for children who cannot speak English,
and who can't continue to the story.
And it's only if I have nothing to do,
so only I will release it for those who are intresed in it.

I would help because i can speak english , and dutch.
but i would not play it because i like english pokemon more.
but first we have to wait till there is a ap fix

And why does everything people post in this topic need to be half Dutch, half English..?

Because most Dutch people like speaking in Dutch, but they don't want to make it so that nobody non-Dutch can understand their posts. Just forget the Dutch part, I'd say. :\

As for the topic, we really shouldn't allow game developers to translate everything to Dutch, since the English-language media is one of the things that causes the average English knowledge of Dutch people to be higher than - for instance - Germans.

And anyway, community translations really do suck, doesn't matter if it's a TV show, a movie or a game, the d/t mistakes and incorrectly placed spaces between words (come on, Dutch is not English) are all over those translations. And even more so, they sound annoying too.

Well, the fact that they're even on this forum means they're able to understand English fine. So there's not really the need to speak Dutch :/.

But we're getting off-topic here, so I'll let this be.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
