ROM Hack Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver problems?

Might seem like a bit of a random question, but does the latest AKAIO (1.6 is it?) work on an Acekard 2.1? (NOT the 2i) Asking because my friend might be able to lend me his Acekard for a bit, and having a working rom on me might help with the whole fixing situation.

i wish we could decrypt Acekards 2.1 firmware, so that we could figure out whats stopping them from crashing and quite possibly bring us closer to a working pathc.

"As of 12/01/09 the current build of the AK2.1 shows some serious flaws. The official firmware and AKAIO will not function correctly on them. Team Acekard has privately commented by saying that the kits appear to be real and not cloens and they are not sure what the problem is."

well the dutch guy posted the "problem", that it hqas something to do with the light and the ram instead of the rom...

Either that or Cyclo 1.58 B1. I haven't had a single crash for hours on that and it even works with a 16 badge japanese save. I just want a working patch so that I can use my EZVi and play on my DSi.
