Oh dear it's doubled in size over night, how am I going to tell my son that this is 128bit? He spent months saving up for his F2A and 64bit cart when most games would fit on it. 8 MB of crack seems huge to me.

i suppose that 128 is not the correct size, and as Dranzer confirmed the rom is still full of dummy bytes ( 00 , FF ) which are not useful to the game itself.
Maybe (and i say MAYBE) we may expect another release of this rom (a fixed version sized 64 mbits)

everything that is written above are just my thougts and maybe they are pure fantasy, so don't get angry on me if it does not ahappen

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Guys like you have saved me a heap of money this past year, I am eternally grateful.

As it happens, I broke the bad news to my son and he wasn't bothered. He's happily playing it on his PC right now.

So many thanks to all concerned

is it just me, or did anyone else have to fix their rom to make it run on a FC... I tried 3 times, rwice with pogoshell, and once without, and it did not work, so i fixed my rom so that the intro wasn't there, and it worked fine. anyone else need to remove th intro to get it to work?

I had the same problem you did with a F2A 256Mbit cart using Pogoshell. Thanks for listing the workaround, I was going crazy there

Also get a message saying my 'internal clock battery has run dry' and I suspect that this is the clock issue everyone is talking about...

To the other guy in this thread that is having problems saving with their cart - I don't have a problem saving. I do get the message 'corrupt save data' when loading my data...but it loads. Don't know what that is all about.

Anyhoo.

So what exactly is "fixed" in this fixed version? Is it the clock thing or is it something else?

Some of you still haven't gotten the message.
Don't moan about the 128MB size, the previous rom was faulty.
YOU CANNOT TRIM IT DOWN. PERIOD.
As for the clock patch, we will NOT do one.
We have been bothered with stupid lamers all day, this is it.
If you want a clock patch GO FUCKING MAKE IT YOURSELF.
BE HAPPY WE EVEN RELEASED THE WORKING ROM.
WE HAD INITIAL THOUGHTS NEVER TO RELEASE IT TO YOU FUCKERS.

BTW It's really respectful to remove the intro, but it wont trimmed down to 64M.

Dude, chill out with your bad self. No one's complaining. Just wanted to know what the difference was between the two dumps.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
