Hi!

DS Connection doesn't "work" anymore, however, to get mystery gift events for these Pokemon games, you'll have to set your internet connection Primary DNS settings to 164.132.44.106 while leaving the secondary blank.

Save it without testing the connection and you should be able to get mystery gifts via internet in this condition.

If that doesn't work, then 178.62.43.212 Primary, 8.8.8.8 (or 1.1.1.1) Secondary.

Good luck!

PS: Make sure you use a DSi or 3DS.

J don't play Pokémon games, but why not a DS?
Oh, DSi and 3DS has a different Internet Connection settings than the OG and Lite DS.

Whereas, you can set an internet connection on both DSi and 3DS through its system settings, but OG and Lite DS relies on the "in-game" internet settings which you can no longer connect anymore to the internet due to it being closed down.

You mean the capability of the DS to only connect to unsecured and WEP connections? Because I have a network with no security and I can play DS games online just fine on my DSi's and DS Lite (when it worked, that is. Sadly it's now a paperweight)

No, no.

You literally wouldn't be able to connect to the internet now using the OG or Lite DS may it be WEP or not.

Uh, because Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (DS and Wii Servers where the DS connect into) is already dead...?
That's why Wiimmfi exists? You talked about it here:

Edit: Also, when played normally, the DSi and 3DS run DS games in DS mode, meaning they run with all of the limitations of a DS. They can't use the extra RAM, they can't use the better WiFi capabilities, etc

And the DSi used NWFC, as the DS did.

I mean, Wiimmfi is beyond what was asked ngl.
