Gaming Pokemon Diamond: lost in Mystery Zone...Pls help

Looks like the Pokemon Diamond 'sticky' is pretty much inactive, so I have re-posted here. Hoping that's ok.

My son needs help with Pokemon Diamond (and I have no idea about the game at all):

He was been using cheats, wandered trough some bushes and has found himself in a "mystery zone". It's all black and he doesn't know how to get out.

Can anyone please help?

That means he went outside of the "game zone" and unless he knows what direction he came from or has a Pokemon that can "teleport" or "dig" I don't think so.

Ask your son to try the Explorer's Kit (the item which you use to access the Sinnoh Underground).

Then tell him not to go into the mystery zone to long. AND TELL HIM NOT TO SAVE.

Tell him thats why he shouldn't use cheats, and erase his Pokemons to teach him a lesson!

But seriously, try Pokemon moves such as teleport and fly. And if he doesn't have Pokemon with those moves, use cheats to give them the moves?

There are several ways to fix this...

If he has a way of cheating:
-Teach fly/dig to a Pokemon.
-Get an Underground Kit.
-Make a Pokemon in Pokesav that has Dig, Fly, etc, and put it directly into his party.
-If he has a flashcart, he can simply load his save file to Pokesav and edit his location, IIRC.
-Open up the map, look where the closest route is, (put on the walk through cheat again) and keep walking in that direction until he hits the road.

If he doesn't have a way to cheat, a flashcart, or a Pokemon with Fly/Dig/an Explorers's Kit with him, then I'm pretty sure he's going to have to start a new game :/

PS: Shouldn't this be in the help section of the DS boards?

Is it possible to open up the menu while in Mystery Zone?

Look at your son's Poketch, if you're lucky, you might have an app that displays town map (well, berry locations, to be exact but it displays the map) and look where you're right now. Just move east/north/west/south and don't stop. You'll be on a road in no time

I ended up using Warcueid's idea of using Pokesav and edit his location....one happy son!

obviously your son does not have much experince with cheating.

delete the walk through wall cheat.

No, really don't delete it. It works great when fighting that Gym Leader with elevators (what is his name again?) and to escape Elite Four should you accidentally entered and saved
