OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I DID IT!!!
I-I-I hacked it! I hacked soul silver! i was able to change something! im so happy I did something without making it go corrupt!!! I just made a bulbasaur grass and flying type! I finally know how to edit! how to hack! woohoo!!!!!!   :lol: Thanks to ages of trying and trying, I was able to discover this:00=NORMAL,01=FIGHTING,02=FLYING,03=POISON,04=GROUND,05=ROCK,06=BUG,07=GHOST,08=STEEL,09=??? (I don't mean I don't know it, the type is curse type), 0A=FIRE,0B=WATER,0C=GRASS,0D=ELECTRIC,0E=PSYCHIC,0F=ICE,10=DRAGON,11=DARK,12=...COOL?,13=...BEAUTY?,14=...CUTE?,15=...SMART?, 16=...TOUGH?,17 or higher = The game will crash...I still need to discover how a pokemon can have only 1 type. can anyone help? Update: Never mind about that question, I discovered how! if both type 1 and type 2 are the same, the pokemon will have only 1 type :) I made my venusaur a pure flying type pokemon lol

andibad thats not all, I edited that, I was able to discover all the information about types. also, i discovered more about stats. check my posts: the last post in page 4, and the first post in page 5.
 
I just realized something...else. an even newer job has just opened. check it out:
9-I need help editing the moves, I need to find where the move data is so I can add the gen 5 moves, and if anyone here is creative, I could use their help in making some new Fakemon moves, Every generation comes with a new pair of moves, so it's only fair that I make some more :)
I'm thinking of this: A move called "Tremor" ground type, 50 power, physical, 100 accuracy, always hits first. If you have any cool Ideas for moves, pm me :) or you can help me find the data for a single move, so I'll be able to learn a moves structure and add more moves :) Every little bit counts in a game, so be as helpful as you can for this rom to be successful!
 
I don't wanna brag but I just made serious progress. I've finished job 1. the size of data for each pokemon is:
44 bytes!
I'm not sure how it's that big...I'm not even perfectly sure that after the first 28 is data for the pokemon. all I know is that if you start at bulbasaurs data and you wanna get to Ivysaur in HG/SS, you go past 44 bytes and then you're at ivysaur. Ivysaurs offset starts at 12B286C and ends at 12B2897. with this data, and the information I gathered about each byte, I can make more pokemons! woohoo!Yippee! to prove I mastered editing pokemons, I was able to edit the type of chikorita. chikorita is No.152, so it was a little tough. had to count till I got to 152 from bulbasaur. I made it 22 bytes per row, and each pokemon takes 44 bytes of space. so all I had to do was press down on arrow keys while holding shift twice to count it as 1 pokemon. pretty neat, huh?But I'm not entirely ready to make a new pokemon...To make one, I'd need it's voice, It's Sprites, and a place to catch it. but I don't have sprites, voices, and I don't know how to make pokemons appear in any areas. I only have the base, which is how many bytes each pokemon is, and what almost all the bytes mean. I've done all that is in my power. If I had sprites, voices, and knew how to make them appear in an area, It would allow me to make the rest of the pokemons. I need Allies now more than ever...

The voices would be have to taken from another pokemon or done manually which would be rather hillarious :lol:

ROFL that would be totally crazy. I can imagine myself in the future barking, trying to imitate a Fakemons voice hahahaha! :lol:
Well, we could take the sounds of the Unova pokemons and that takes down 150. but for the other 105, I guess we're gonna have to start fusing, barking, or copying :P also, yet again, I've realized something new. when we make battle sprites for the the 255 pokemons (Very depressing indeed, but I doubt that it won't be fun! long true, but fun still!) we're gonna need 2 or more battle sprites, to make them seem like there moving. kinda like lucario, you take him out, he holds his hands together forming an opening for an aura sphere, then i think he s puts his pose down and "says his voice", and then he goes back into his aura sphere pose. we also need a front, back, and left, and right sprite, so It's gonna be a whole lot of work, sorry to put such a burden on artists, but just imagine. a pokemon game with 754 pokemons! and you can walk with each and every one! If that doesn't get you in the history books, then world war 2 shouldn't be in the history books either! :lol: now you people can see why I need so many artists...
 
7-Although TM's aren't infinite like in pokemon b/w, im gonna somehow try to make any TM's you use on sale in pokemarts...yet again, if possible.

what you can do is...its like there is a spot were you find the tm so at that point instead of getting 1 tm we get 999 of the same move which is = to alot

I can make trainer sprites but I've never actually tried to edit a pokemon one, LOL when this starts i'd love to participate it be hard but fun too. Expecially if we have to resort to barking our own pokemon crys :lol:

What do you mean, "when the project starts"? I'm already working on it :P as I've said before, I can't progress through my editing without the sprites and voices...
Maybe I could progress a little by making a snivy in pokemon heart gold. That would be an extreme achievement that would prove I can make the hack. I guess I'll start looking for snivy's voice in my pokemon white rom, If I knew where to find that, I could. Over-world sprites are gonna be a big problem though...and it's gonna be tough getting a battle sprite for the front and back of snivy without it moving and tapping its foot. As I said before, I need allies now more than ever =/

By the way, Flygon12345, if I can't make items appear at the poke-marts after long, long, long, hard work, then I will resort to making all the TMs you find 999.

I'll have a look into the crys of the unova pokemon to see how to get them.

Also, am I the only person who cant see the fakemons on the first page anymore?

I'm gonna search for some unova sprites. hopefully that gives me results...if not, then they're gonna have to be made from scratch :(

you can found some sprite on spriteresource is many sprite from pokemon BW ...
 
hmm...thanks for that...but...I have some very sad news. I added victini (no.494) to pokemon soul silver. I counted and counted until I reached the data for arceus. I added more pokemon data, 44 bytes for victini. but for some strange reason, when I loaded it on emulator (both no$gba and Desmume)they both didn't work :( they didn't crash, but for some strange reason, I could hear the sound (thank you head phones) but sadly, I couldn't get a "visual". in other words, the screen was black :( But there has to be some way...there's gotta be some way...I mean, how did that guy add Zekrom and Reshiram?! there has to be a way!!! first I'm gonna look for some kind of code that lets you see no$gba during black screen, and then I'm gonna try looking for some other area to add pokemon data...or maybe there's some kind of data in the game that lets there be only 493 pokemons? I need help answering that last question.
 
I thought the mascot would be Omefreeze and Quaisteam and Thawnefass since they rival each other like in the last 3 gens mascot pokemon o-o.

Edit: There are some fakemon front sprites up in Deviant art made by the Original Artist's friend I suppose. I was thinking you could ask for their cooperation with this, Dunno if this was asked before, but I'm being a bit too lazy to look back at the other pages. On another note the artist's other fakemon look nice as well.

Edit2: Derp should've read the guy's descriptions, it says he doesn't want games with his fakemon with them so he probably wont say yes.

Hey guys, sorry to say this, but I finally went back to deviantART (I totally forgot that I signed up to send that message) and the reply said that I had no permission to use them...Very heart breaking true, but that's how life is :( :( :(

I'm gonna go delete the fakemons from the poll, and edit the thread... :(
