im not too sure how your card works but make sure its up to date (make sure you download the one for your card)
if that doesnt work then I dont know

I get a red loading screen.
There's a patch for that but it says it's only for 3DS cards,

i have this card

and whatever rom i use patched, unpatched, translated patched it always freezes right after se ask if im a boy or girl and what i want my name to be

i have to use the ttmenu for it to actually boot the rom

any help please

I have that card too and Pokemon Black 2 works great, but it only freezes sometimes while saving, format your Micro SD, use the latest firmware, and then use YsMenu from RetroGameFan, just follow the tutorial (link is on the first page of this topic)

if i use the save the i generated from desume the save loads but i cant save again ... so i restarted it and start a new game and get no error or freezes . only problem with that is if you already have a saved game you cant save over that file

Is the C-gear glitch still there? or is it safe to use.

Also kinda off topic. I've been using ttmenu from retrogamerfan but i see most ppl using ysmenu. Is it better? like does it function better or have some advantages compaired to ttmenu?

Update wood to 1.49 firmware,disable soft-reset and cheat options.

Before that patch the rom with ******** and translate it to english.
