Just downloaded Genesect. The retail copy works on WPA2 security Wi-Fi too.

Well duh, was proven a while ago just by looking at the rom.
I remember reading on this forum that Dream Radar seemed to work with different language games too.

I've read about Dream Radar working cross region as well, but I have only seen one such post so far.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but it seems that the Japanese save files work with the English roms. Even better is that my Japanese Pokemon White 2 save file works with my English Pokemon Black 2 English rom.

The games are programmed to be able to use the other area, so it shouldn't really pose a problem.

One thing I hate about this game:

TOO LITTLE RIVAL BATTLES
either that or too easy.

I mean seriously, after 6 badges you only have 3 pokemon at Lv39 - 41?

In contrast, BW had your rival appear after every gym badge.

Well, many people are getting Black because of challenge mode.

I got white and I'll get the challenge mode unlock from my friend who has Black. Overall I find White to have better exclusives, but this is subjective
