Pokemon Annoucement at Jump Festa

Pokemon will have its first Jump Festa showing this year, and it looks like we can expect some sort of announcement. The latest issue of Jump has a blurb for the upcoming event which says "Pokemon makes first appearance at JF!! Surprising information on the show floor?" The blurb also teases that a "big surprise" awaits in the Pokemon booth.

This year's Jump Festa will be held on December 17th and 18th at Makuhari Messe.

It's called anything that's not the main series games or the Pokemon TCG for the GBC. Yes, that goes for you, Pokemon Stadium/Snap/the list goes on.

Pokemon Stadium was quite fun, maybe coz I was younger.

I enjoyed it when I was younger but in retrospect it's just like the handhelds minus the whole thing that makes Pokemon worthwhile (a big main quest that's good) and an emphasis on what the handheld games already had (multiplayer) but minus the whole attachment to your Pokemon you get from grinding them to lvl 100 and with some flashier animations, which doesn't matter anyway since the graphics are always pretty meh in the end anyway.

Considering everyone and their dad who enjoys Pokemon has Pokemon, it's not unreasonable to say I could just do the multiplayer on a handheld.

It was like the first 3D pokemon game, seeing pikachu attack or whatever was wow to my eyes, instead of looking at the crappy gameboy black/white screen.

Anyway I agree there isn't much to it, everything that isn't the main series is going to be crap and to be honest I'm losing interest in Pokemon. The main series aren't doing it to me lately, I was a huge competitor battler back in 4th gen, I entered a lot of pokemon tourneys over many different Pokemon forums, won quite a few, spend like over 5000 hours breeding and training, battled day/night ever since I got pokemon diamond. With 5th gen I've haven't touched the surface after completing the story.

Yeah, pretty much.

Most anything that isn't Pokemon [Insert Color or Gem] is pretty much garbage. Unless it's the TCG for the GBC.

Pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness were amazing. Stadium 1 and 2 were good (and they let you play your portable games on the big screen and battle those Pokemon you get attached to via a transfer system). Snap was fun, but short-lived. Rumble and Rumble Blast are fun and worth-while, the mystery dungeon games are good, and Ranger was alright. The rest pretty much sucked, I guess. Of course, the TCG was amazing as well, but you already mentioned that. If you wish for me to explain why any these are good (assuming you'll have objections), then let me know.
