What type of rom have you used? I mus be an untrimmed rom. If you use a rom untrimmed download the patch for the untrimmed rom but if you uses the rom with the English 0.2v, you must download the patch for the 0.2v. I think that you can't use the update 0.3v in an 0.1v Bye

Writing down every item to search for it on the internet... (well, every item I didn't know what it was)
That's why I've started my own translation of it, based on Explorers of Time & Darkness. But, this translation not finished yet. If you want to help, please scroll down to the "Helping with translations" section.

Also, since the font in this game is optimalized for Japanese characters the Latin characters are a bit different and sometimes out of range, when you notice there's a text out of range, please report it! If someone knows how to change this font to the font that's used in the English versions, I'll be glad to hear this!

The game wants to copy and show the original name, but since it don't normally recognise this font for typing, the nickname is empty and you need to provide a name yourself. But with Pokémon that want to join you, you'll be asked if you want to nickname it, if you don't, the Pokémon will have NO name. So if you're smart you nickname it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /></li><li><b>The font is ugly and the "m" looks like a "n".</b>
At this moment I cannot do anything about it. Currently, I do know which file is used for the font, but if I replace this file the Japanese characters aren't read correctly.</li><li><b>Some text is 'out of range' so I cannot read it.</b>
Unfortunately, the textbox's width is just 38 chars wide in this font, so sometimes there are abbreviations, mainly in the Main Menu.
But if this occours you can't do anything about it, the only thing you can do is sending a reply here with the text and the place where it occours so I can look at it.</li></ul><!--sizeo:3--><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>My limitations</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

There are some things translated already, on serebii.net I found some names for these dungeons, but I don't want to risk I translate something wrong. So if you know some names, let me know! <u>Items (low priority)</u>
There are new items in this version, I assume these items are very rare items, so the chance you get one of these is very low, that's why this has a low priority. But if you know some translations, feel free to post them.

There are new items in this version, I assume these items are very rare items, so the chance you get one of these is very low, that's why this has a low priority. But if you know some translations, feel free to post them.

DUNGEONS|
114| ZAIHOUNOIWABA (in this zaihou means TREASURE) the rest can be wriiten as cave ; so it becomes treasure cave

ITEMS
4493|とっかんスカーフ; in this "スカーフ" means scarf "とっかん" means rush so it is RUSH SCARF or simply speed scarf
4475|ともしびリボン; in this "リボン means ribbon this is light ribbon

sorry i'll continue later on with the words
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Awesome someone else has joined translating so I guess it's you, me, grovyle and shadow hunter btw remember that speed scarf and light ribbon could translate into pokemon names seeing they use certain words as meanings to their names.

I'm doing too much right now, so I may not responding directly.

First I've to say, please don't quote my first post, it's so long that it makes reading very confusing.

Second, next patch will be released later today, it doesn't contain any new translating yet, but I need to apply the new translations here. The main change is the font, the T&D font finally works now on this Japanese rom.

Third, I need to get everything on a list what's new here. But as I said earlier, I'm doing many things now, so it will have some delay.

an untrimmed rom is the rom you download somewhere,you trimmed it self if you want a smaller rom.i think that is trimmed.
the rom you download is a clean/untrimmed rom

ps you must rename your rom in Pmdeos.nds and no point or komma or space before or at the end of rom name

About that dungeon translating, serebii.net mentioned the names of the new dungeons:
Wish Cave, Sky Summit, Zero Isle Central, Destiny Tower, Forgotten Woods, Devil Seas, Southeastern Archipelago & Blaze Cave.

So if you find out which is which, shadowhunter, gokujr, or someone else, post them here.

Also, shadowhunter, please remember that that the dungeon names which aren't translated (with ids ~1600-1800) are the names of the dungeons which will be showing in the game while changing floors. But this font hasn't been fixed yet that it supports Latin chars, so this have to remain Japanese. I really don't know if I said this earlier or not, but then you know it now

fish646, if you read my readme file you didn't ask this question...
You need an UNTRIMMED rom of Pokémon Fushigi no Dungeon Sora no Tankentai (128 MB).
The patched rom needs to be around 85 MB and it takes about 5-10 seconds.

rom requests are forbidden.and please no double post.

when you patch it takes a few seconds.
a untrimed rom is the original rom you downloaded from your rom dealer.
A big Thx to the translator

fish646, if it succesfully patched, it will show nothing but "Paused, press a key to continue . . ." or something. When there's a error, it will show an error.

I guess I've everything on the list what's new.
gokujr1000
  • 4500|???????? -> The Wobbuffet Scarf
    ???? is indeed Scarf, but ???? is not Wobbuffet, Wobbuffet = ?????
  • 4525|??????? (this translates to the belt which is not effective so I'm yet to figure out what this item really is)
    Alright.
  • 4609|???????? -> Slash Ribbon
    You're right, although it's not from Sandslash as you thought
  • 4750|Duskull ???? -> Duskull Muffler (Scarf)
    I knew it was Muffler, but it sounded weird to me, but when you mentioned it's a scarf I went searching for the definitions and indeed, it's "a scarf worn around the neck". So then, which is the best? Name it Muffler, or rename it to Scarf?
mervyn797
  • 114| ZAIHOUNOIWABA (in this zaihou means TREASURE) the rest can be wriiten as cave ; so it becomes treasure cave
    I'm counting on you!
    wink.gif
  • 4475|???????; in this "??? means ribbon this is light ribbon
    You're right.
  • 4493|????????; in this "????" means scarf "????" means rush so it is RUSH SCARF or simply speed scarf
    On this too, I'm counting on you!
Some things need to be improved, but I can inplement the other things. Thanks everyone!
And then one thing, every Pokémon that's on this list has been translated to it's English name, so there aren't any Japanese names left (unless I forgot one...).

Also, I've found out that the SCRIPT dir also contains text strings, can someone confirm that it won't be a problem if you copy specific files from the English EOT to the Japanese EOS?
