Hi guys...

Today I bought my HGSS game and I don't regret it

Still I was wondering how many of you uses Stylus + D-Pad or A+B+Y+X + D-Pad...

Personally I like using stylus

I am not really consistent. Buttons are easy because the right hand can help supporting the device, and touch-screen control in games like this works better with fingers anyway.

Yeah, it's pretty much all dependent on how I'm sitting.

And to be honest, when I use the touch features, I don't really use the stylus. The digital buttons are big and fat enough for my finger to suffice, especially in battles.

Another brilliant pokemon question...

I use stylus or buttons randomly. I have no real set pattern or reason for when I do or don't use a certain control style.

I tend to use the touch screen with my fingers when I'm playing. It's just easier for me. The buttons and stylus are so plebeian for me.

In Platinum I indeed hardly used the touch screen as it really was to switch between ABXY and pen, I like playing around with stylus and Dpad, though, too bad for those who are left handed out there :/

I often play one handed, that's what L=A mode is for.
Handy when I want to play pokeymans whilst

Fixed. Actually, I never realised that's what L=A was for. You learn something new every day!
It was really useful in the GBA Pokémon games, where you had to make PokéBlocks, you could mash both the L and A button for a great PokéBlock

Fingerprints are easy to clean off. I have to apply my fingers to the screen regularly to remove dust without tools anyway. Plus, skin fat is an excellent lubricant to improve stylus performance. And if you are ultra-concerned, a fingernail is a lot less greasy and about as precise as a stylus, and screw the warnings, unless you sharpen it regularly or coat it its point is no worse than a stylus. And if everything else fails, there are still gloves.
