I havnt been able to get a NES games to work on the GBA for the life of me...

I assume I downloaded the latest version of PocketNES from HERE
And I followed the instructions from an earlier version:

Append a description file and NES ROMs (.NES format) to POCKETNES.GBA.
You can do this with third party utilities (like NEStoGBA or PocketNES
Rocket) or with MSDOS's COPY command. For example:
The description file is a plain text file, each line containing the title
of a ROM. See the provided sample file (MENU.TXT) for more information.
If only one ROM is used, this file may be omitted.
As I am only creating single game conversions I have omitted the rom list.
Since I only use Linux I used the following command:

    cat pocketnes.gba nesgame.nes > nesgame.gba
I also tried using NEStoGBA v0.5 application that I found HERE

But I keep getting the same result when launching the converted file with my EZ4 1.77

Any help would be much appreciated... Nem

did you try to add the game list but with only one game in it? (it probably did it with nes2gba program)
or did you try to add 2 games?

Yea I tried using a rom list with just one game on it but still having the same result.
I have not yet tried more than one game but I might do just to see if I can get it to work.
I'll try a couple other things I have in mind when I get some free time tomorrow.

I'm going to bump the thread and ask, did you ever get this working or does anybody else know how to make it work?

I want to create a python script that fills a pocketnes.gba file until it's the max size that the game boy can run, then go on to create a new one and fill it and so on. I want to get every nes game available on the card that's why it needs to be done this way. If I try the 2013 version of pocketnes.gba without the menu maker, doing it the old way, it gives me a message when I run it on the game boy telling me I need to create a menu.

I need to do it via command line which doesn't seem to be possible with the most recent pocketnes, is it impossible?

    Does anybody know?

Why not use wine since your in Linux and use the windows pocketnes menu maker app? Always worked for me when I used Linux and my f2a cart all the time. Also, without the correctly formatted romlist.txt it's not going to work at all. So

    cat pocketnes.gba romlist.txt game.nes > pocketnesroms.gba
