the youtubers are making it better. you can't force people to stay in one position. it's like forcing someone to stay in rxtools but they want luma.

its a spoon fed. without the guide you wouldn't know how to a9lh in the first place.
Um. Yes I would, and so would many other members here. Some of us did it before the guide. Where you think it came from?

No, it's really not, but thanks for the bad analogy. And no, the people on YouTube aren't making it better, obviously. That's why I made this thread in response to ten or so threads a day we get complaining about a video somebody followed.

look, now i can get my 3ds a9lh'd by a spanish youtuber and idk spanish.

some of you guys. it will still be a minority. and some of your post is a lie ;)

Why would you even follow a video in a language you don't understand? That's like attempting the foreign instructions on any sort of assembly guide.

i did and it worked
it also fixed a issues i had with my 3ds back then.
you dont even need to hear what he is saying.
BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING HE DOES.

You are on a site with software developers and hackers and think you know better. I don't think you realise your footing here.

Before the official guide existed there were threads here covering A9LH installation and writeups on it dating back to last February or so. All it takes is a little bit of deduction skill to piece things together. Here's the earliest version that I know of that was readily available to the public, and even it came out before Plailect's guide.

i dont think i know better. stop putting words in my mouth.
Youre trying to put everyone on par with you to support your arguement. And I assure you, the guy that wrote the guide in the first place got alot of info and testing from here. No gbatemp, no guide, no videos to debate.

I never claimed that I wrote anything. Now you're just strawmanning. Are you a video maker that's just mad that I spoke out against these videos or what?

If you weren't upset then you you wouldn't be all "YOU DIDN'T WRITE IT SO YOU GOT SPOON FED TOO!" It's a little too late to attempt to save face. Regardless, I don't even know why you're advocating for the regression of this community. Even if these videos are made with the best intentions they still lead to countless threads about some problem arising from them due to them being outdated or just outright incorrect.

Bro, youre argueing with the people that built this scene about how the information should be shared. You lose out of the gate. I'm starting to think you're just a troll.

look, the information should be straight liquid. shared quickly. youtube helps doing that. most of the people starting for looking youtube videos which leads to here. i just got here by wololo.
and no, im not a troll.

wait so you ranting because the youtubers get subcribers because they actualy TRYING TO HELP NEWBS?
Well, "help" might be an exaggeration, maybe the correct phrase would be "trying to make money"... Do you really think they want to help, or just make some money off of some people that want to hack their consoles. Because I don't exactly think they're trying to help, and they're not helping.

No they aren't, they're bricking random people because of many reasons, such as.
  • Providing outdated files, which can lead to bricks.
  • Outdated info, such as a video created before soundhax and fasthax.
  • Probably using adf.ly or something to make more money.
They really should just be linking Plailect's guide and telling them to follow that, now that'd be a helpful video. It's not a good idea to follow a youtube tutorial, okay?

why people put fake words and feelings into others. im not upset. AND YEAH I CAPS IF YOU WANT THAT BECAUSE IT DOESNT TELL YOU MY FEELINGS BEHIND THIS LMAO.
I CAN BE CAPPING LIKE THIS AND LAUGHING RN.
(btw there is flaws in both parts, im just saying to stop hating on youtubers)

its still a service.
money make things happen.

It's not just "personal opinion" when the risk of bricking consoles is involved.

i took that risk lots of times and idc because i can by another one and just wait untill an exploit from the firmware im in is on the go.
btw, this thread is a rant about youtubers making money out of a simple guide and newbs keep on skipping stuffs.
