Hacking Playing Mp3s of a dvd

I figured with dvdx reading data, it could read all my songs from a dvd with a special app. can this be done?

from what ive seen, yes you can already do this with the newest mplayer. it lets you read songs/movies off of sd/usb/dvd.

mplayer wii cant read dvds, maybe in the future, mplayer dvd is your best bet. try that, why wouldnt you just play through your dvd player or something?
