Playing Master System games on a Model 2 Genesis

I want to play Master System games on my Genesis. Is there something other than the Power Base Converter I can use for this?

Other than the flashcart option, you could also build your own adapter, or, buy one second hand like the Power Base Converter as you had mentioned.

Be careful with the power base converter as the original/official one doesn't fit the model 2, at least not without modification.

You are asking how to play SMS games on the MD/Gen Model 2.

You also mention the Power Base Converter, the official method.

You don't however mention whether you were aware of it's incompatibility, hence my post as a precaution.

Supposedly you can take the case off the original power base converter, or find an official power base converter mark ii from Europe but they're pricey

Most cloned versions are simply identical to the European Model 2 adapter. What you see is what you get (an SMS pause button). There really aren't any features to speak of.

Just switch language to English, this is what you want. Just simple apple to apple Master System cart slot to MD/Genesis cart.
