I wish to play locally with a friend mario kart. But to do this, I need to enable wifi I suppose.
So what do you guys think about this? Is this dangerous?

I assume once wifi is on nothing is really 100% safe but.. what do guys think regardless?

And if you are banned can you no longer play locally via wifi like this?

LOL do you read what is in the thread?!
You do that ON your SWITCH!
Only his ISP connection is used!

You don't change anything on his "router/modem" !

Read again and you will get it.....hopefully :)

LoL... I see.
Anyway besides the use of this dns.

The actual question at hand if you don't employ this method.
Would it be okay to play locally via wifi with your friend on a hacked switch?

Sure the 90DNS prevents any contact to Ninti server (Hopefully all)°!
There is allways a risk but i didn't had any problems so far playing local.

But if you go only with your Switch without it there is a HIGH risk to get banned.

I've 2 Switch one is hacked on is original.
All the Games i bought i play on the second Hacked one and use it to try new games to check if i want to buy them.
Since i hacked it (after made 3 Backups of it) it never got contact again to ANY Ninti server....but where used for local play.

But i'am sure the first time i got only normally (WITHOUT 90DNS) i will be banned for sure!

Hope that helps you in anyway ;)

okay your post doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
First you say i didn't have any problems so far playing online when I ask about how risky it is to play just locally (implying without dns and stuff)
And you say i never had any problems so far. Which suggest it's okay to use local play without dns.

Then you go about saying if you go only with your switch? whatever that means. high risk to be banned? whut

How are you "sure' this is just an unbased guess, unless you actually produce someone who has been banned solely because of this. I call BS.

Im not saying its impossible. but it could be that local play is safe(ish)?
Idk i have never seen anyone say there banned cuz of local play. Only cuz of install NSP etc.

Let's think about this rationally. Playing locally means you and possibly some stranger are playing together in close proximity as opposed to online play. Now Nintendo bans users for violating their Terms of Service which is usually for modifying their console. So if your unhacked console plays with a hacked one via local connection, what do you think happens?

You don't have to be connected to a wifi while playing local multiplayer.
Just play. No risks for you or the other person
Thanks. so while I can't play with airplane mode off?
But if just delete or never enter the wifi network of my friend's house I will be totally safe. thnx

If you cant or dont want to play adhoc. Maybe more then two wants to play, just disconnect router from Internet before connecting to it. Either in router settings or disconnect the cable to ISP.
