Great thanks I'm on the settings menu and i'm sort of scared to update like step 7 is telling me to because well I don't really know how to confirm I'm on CFW SysNAND.. :/

If you are booted into a homemenu it is luma. It's the only way the system can boot now
Also there is an option in lumas config that will change the ver in front of the fw in settings to sys. You just have to turn it on.

Another way to tell, is if you setup your Luma settings as instructed in the guide, which is "Show current NAND in System Settings." Then it'll say "sys" in front of your current sysNAND version, as opposed to "ver." But you should def be in CFW sysNAND.

But anyways, congrats on A9LH+Luma3DS! Enjoy!

You should be safe to do anything. Luma blocks anything from touching firm 0/1 so a9lh won't get removed. So even if something broke and you bricked you can still load d9 and restore a backup

Last question I promise(not really :P), so what do I do if I want to play backed up legal roms and is online play/use allowed(i.e. going online with pokemon x or buying something from the eshop)

Going online is fine with bought and "backed up" games. You just use a CIA installer to install the games and then play them

Hey, since I'm just done with this too, I just have one more question because I'm not sure about what I did at the end.
so, everything is done, ARM9lhax installed etc, but it says:

Update your CFW SysNAND to the latest version using system settings

So, I've no EmuNand, I just have my SysNand, is it safe to update here ?
I understood the principle with having RedNand and SysNand but now since I only have one Nand I just wanted to understand what I have exactly before upgrading ^^

My personal advice is if you have just finished it you should have had to update the system settings to highest previously could you tell me your firmware youre on right now ?

Updating sysnand is safe with luma and a9lh. Luma blocks firm 0 and firm 1 from being updated. That is where a9lh lives.
