And then you have the movie forever, for your kids, grand kids, and your great, great, great, great grand kids who wonder what life was like before virtual reality movies.

XFD at all that unskippable crap

It seems that buying movies have become a joke now because it seems to take so long to get to the actual movie

MEH not all originals come with trailers for other films!

You get more of them If you rent them!

BLURAY tends to be less of an issue you get a do not copy notice with blah blah on and then it shows the disk loading symbol and then jumps straight into the film! ....

Well that's at least what it does with my PS3 and original BLURAY movies

Agreed. I hate all the nonsense they throw at us when you just want to watch a movie. However, some companies are better than others --> my big bang theory disks don't have stupid intros/outtros. but all I watch is television series on dvd....so that may change it.

No extras, just the movie on the disc - check (Seriously, who wants to see an interview with the guy who brought Johnny Depp a coffee?? Most people take a look at the extras just once and never again, if at all.)

No fees for copy protection - check (If they stop protecting their stuff, they will SAVE money not LOSE money, because it can be copied anyway and it just costs them fees for the rights to the protection crap)

Selling the movie for $5 at a profit - check

problem solved.

I aslso love how some things can be actually be said in Finnish journalism.

A Finnish computers magazine had a column (by a guy) that pretty much lamented the fact how "Retail copies of new HD movies need exactly right type of hardware and graphic driver cards wth right type of video decrypter key, while Pirates get all this straight away with nothing to hazzle" (Talking about watching movie on PC)

Yeah, pretty much at moment countering piracy mostly is f*cking the paying customer while pirates get it much better.

nintendo actually does it kinda right. YEAH we are flashcart forum and we actually do not like it, but gott say, all nintendo antipiracy is unnoticable (or actually, is not there) for paying customers, and for flashcart users they are a bit of headache to get by and bypass.

I never got why they put previews in the movie. I mean c'mon, I already paid for the movie and now you're making me sit through advertisements? Bullshit. It's like buying a video game only to have a bunch of adverts before the game actually starts. I already get enough advertisement in the movie itself, I don't need a bunch of unnecessary ones.

As for movies, I insert the disc, hit Play, sit back and relax. It's that simple.

Even if I own a DVD I still watch watch a ripped version I made just to skip the shit. I wish the same was done with games.

'Round these parts, DVDs are usually made for the entire region, with five dubs (instead of the commentary track, usually) and twenty subs, because it's cheaper than making smaller, country-specific batches. That means having twenty unskippable, full length warnings, one for each language. Ten if you're lucky. Seven if it's some expensive collectors' edition. The one with the least consecutive warning screens I've ever seen was the LOTR: Two Towers collectors' edition quadruple-DVD set. It only had three.
