i dont know if this is true but if it is then nintendo HAVE SCREWED ME AGAIN!!!!!!!

Erm, if you read the news piece thoroughly; you'll see that these "new features" are those found in all DS Lites. The 275g was the DS Phat, all DS Lites (regardless of colour) are 218g and all feature re-located buttons and microphones.

That site needs to proof read more often.

No it didn't the bloggers mis-read their source; the "previous model" they mention is the old fat DS model.

Am I missing something here, from the article:

"Most remarkable is the change in the location of the Start and Select buttons. They now can be found below the four action buttons at the lower right. The microphone and power LED indicator are now at a different position, as well."

Unless qj is putting up the wrong picture, I don't see any change. The start select has always looked like that on my japanese ds lites and the same applies for the position of the LED/microphone....is that only real difference the unit is lighter? If so that doesn't sound like Nintendo screwed anyone....and I thought all ds lites had 4 brightness settings?
