Man, I'm pretty impressed with this app

it works really quite well. I'm a bit surprised how cpu hungry it is on the server side tho

I've never had this run tolerably. I have a E4500 and a good WiFi connection but it always stutters every other second.

could be a couple things

either you've got a ton of interference on your wifi network, or you need to crank down the bitrate on the transcoding

This is my most used PSP app. I've never had a problem serverside - I've had it running smoothly on my lowly athlon 3200+. Try lowering the framerate?

I wish he would make a version for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

I've lowered it a huge amount, but it still stutters. Even mp3s were slow. Maybe it is the WiFi.

my pc/network seems to work well with the following settings:

movie bitrate: 450
audio bitrate: 96
render size: 480x270
frame rate: 1/1.25

if i push it higher then the pc sometimes can't keep up

the only issue i seem to have is a small black vertical band which always appears on the left... anyone know why?

Honestly, I find it a very useless app, but if you like it then more power to you I guess.
IMO storing all your movies and TV shows on your PC's HD is better than converting them and then storing a few onto your tiny MS in your PC.

Yeah, but if you're so close to the computer, you might as well watch the damn movies your PC and not use the PSP.

you realize you can use it to stream all of your content from your PC to anywhere you have a wifi connection, right?

it's like ORB or a slingbox for your PSP
