How were the emmc issues solved? What was the difference between Samsung, Toshiba and skhynix?

Were the emmc protocol timings different?

Toshiba: can ignore CMD1 if sent too early -> add more retries
Toshiba: very slow controller, read may take 20ms -> increase timeout
SanDisk: mmc_switch cmd takes much longer -> increase timeout
SanDisk: very long read of first blocks in a page -> more timeouts increase
SK Hynix: can reply data even before reply is finished -> reorder dat & cmd readers
Samsung: writes signal right after rising edge -> move to active MMC communication

check D0 line soldering, try without resistor. if not work, need logic analyzer log

Well yes, but actually no.

The currently available public firmwares don't allow atmosphere but people are working on it.

There would be a private build somewhere that does though

I have talked to some sellers , it seems there indeed is a private build that supports it

Also , how does dat0 play a role in pikofly ?

dat0 needed for 1) payload+bct writing to emmc, 2) detecting stages of bootrom process to determine when to trigger glitch pulse

The one I talked to had private access with functional atmosphere ,, + they were saying prices would be more or less around hwfly (unconfirmed)

You can wait for pikofly to get firmware support or find someone with private access piko firmware or hwfly

I smell scam on that part mainly from at that point you're paying foe the fw. Hmmm
