I've looked on the DSi Shop, I am aware that it was removed from the EShop before the release of Smilebasic, but never found anything about it being removed from the DSi Shop.:(

It was removed from the dsi shop a couple of months after the eshop version for both US/EU.
Strangely, PTC (search mkII) is still available on the JPN eshop.
