You don't NEED a gateway card to restore your nand dump now, just their launcher or a hard mod.

Hi, I have a n3ds xl on 9.2. I bought a gateway card which is in the way (Live in Costa Rica and it might take a few weeks to arrive) and I wanted to give pastacfw a try in the mean time, but I am a bit nervous and have a few questions.

1. I understand that you need to run ninhjax every time you want to enter pastacfw. Is anything installed on the Sysnand
(excluding cia manager *forgot name*) regarding a custom firmware or are all other files on the SD card?

2. If per say.. want to remove all traces of pastacfw from my 3ds/sysnand. Is there a procedure for this? Or it is not possible ?

Files of PastaCFW is just similar with your other files on the SD card.
If you want to remove it.. First clear your CubicNinja savefile, iirc L+R+X+Y? Then you could safely remove those Pasta Files from SD.

- Can i Install BigBlueMenu to install CIA's on N3DS XL?
- In case i can't get Xorpads on N3DSXL, can i use the xor pads took with an O3DS?

Hey I just got and old 3dsxl on 7.2.0.17, but whenever I try to apply patches (using pasta1.2.1) my 3ds just freezes. Can someone help?

Oh and my 3dsxl is the "year of luigi" version, that probably isnt the problem but just in case

Oh and I can't run rxTools either, but I wasnt able to do that on my original 3ds anyway

Check the spider version. You can have a partial update with spider below v.17498.

If this is the case, you should be able to run Gateway, downgrade to 4.5 (with spider 17498) and then upgrade again with a game.

black screen occurs with or without pasta cfw firmlaunch activated

Whenever I try to boot SSB with Firmlaunch enabled it gives me a black screen then tells me that an error has occurred and to power off my console. Firmlaunch appears to be launching as I cannot use the eshop spoofer anymore. And I followed the instructions to launch SSB (Install CIA, update it through E-Shop, then Relaunch Pasta with Firmlaunch) yet I still get a black screen and the game simply doesn't work. Any suggestions? This is driving me nuts. I'm on 9.2 Old 3ds.

i noticed something relevant when i try to delete things with fbi it fails to find the folder the first attempt but second attempt deletes the item

I'm a relative 3ds noob but have managed to get Pasta CFW running without using any flash card thing. I used the browser exploit and run pasta by selected clicking the ds profile button in settings (o3dsxl, 4.3). If you'd be able to answer a few questions that would be great.

1. How do I "update" to the newest version of Pasta? I have CN on my 3ds that I can fire up after launching pasta, should I launch CN then run the new pasta from there?

2. Is it safe for me to run all virtual console games or just GBA/DSiWare? I had an error a while ago where I launched a DSi title and I lost my exploit and had to start over from scratch. I'm hesitant to run any VC titles because of this and want to make sure.

1. DL the latest Pasta file, replace it with your current one then launch it from ninjhax
2. DSiWare removes the DS profile exploit, I dont think GBA emulation does, but someone will have to confirm

Anyone have any ideas as to why an otherwise working Cubic Ninja .cia would throw a 'SD Card Removed' upon loading in a 4.5 mset version of Pasta?

Hey, I have a friend who is on 9.2. I used PastaCFW to install a legit .cia. She wants to update to the latest OFW. All that is installed is the legit .cia and bigblue.cia. What will happen if she updates?
