Hacking Pack a WAD into an ISO

Would it be possible to extract a WAD from, say, a VC or Wiiware game, then pack it into an ISO for various uses?

And do what with it? I don't see how this would be useful. If you're thinking of putting the VC wad on a disc so that it can be installed from disc by a disc-reading wad manager, that's already doable. But putting a wad on a disc would otherwise have no real purpose - it's not like you can "play" a wad.
