Hacking Order mishap

I ordered an R4 from the ModChipStore.com on Friday, and I'm really happy with the shipping because I got it today, Tuesday, and wasn't expecting it til later in the week.... except.... I didn't get an R4.... I got an M3 Simply. What do you guys suggest I do? I've already e-mailed the ModChipStore and let them know about it... is there any other steps I should take?

I would just keep the M3 if it works fine....

I think it's in the newer batch, since it didn't come with the white shell.

if you really want a r4 instead just send it back and say you want them to pay for shipping because its thier mistake.

Well the reason that I want an R4 is because it gets updates faster. That is true, right?

The R4 gets it's updates 2 days before the Simply. If waiting 2 days for updates in the future is more of a problem than waiting for a different flashcart in the mail now, then send it back.

If you have to pay for shipping, it's not worth it.

Keep the Simply. Mine works beautifully. Go with the reputation man.

The m3 is NOT better, it's exactly the same thing.

I'd just keep the m3 - too much hassle to return just to get the same cart with a different sticker back.

So your opinion is clearly wrong.

It's EXACTLY the same.. not better, not worse, not different.

Just because i think the M3 is better because of the company it is made by, i don't really think it means i am 'wrong'.

Do you see - that opinion is clearly wrong.

If I said that IME one of two loaves of bread baked to the same recipe in the same oven by the same baker was superior to the other, then again that opinion would obviously be wrong. and thats what you are basically trying to say.

The r4/m3 are made by the same people in the same factory on the same machinery with the same components. One cannot possibly be better than the other.


And no, just because the majority see something as true doesn't necessarily make it so. In this case however, the majority are right for a change.

almost correct - the m3 firmware isn't any older - they all have whichever is current at the time.

So, if they are EXACTLY the same, why does it matter if the R4 gets updates faster? Cant you use the R4 updates on the m3?
