So is there a list of what people were doing when they got bricked? Was it only on emunand? Was it when a game froze you restarted and it was bricked?

Highly doubt that at all. No emunand used, online nor even one rom played and still got bricked. I'm probably the fastest brick case in the whole world (35min give or take) using the GW card from the moment of opening the package on the morning I received it)
The fact that gateway says their cards are 100% safe and never had a brick really angers me... They need to stop denying there is a problem

Been saying this since say one of my brick and people still support them, which is crazy. (roll on the day when a free rom loader solution is available). I couldn't give a rats ass, if everyone is saying 2.0b2 is fine for them, the fact is, the malicious code is in there regardless and should be removed completely.

Why have something running on your system, which is prone to break it, no matter how small the number of legit cases there is. Its Russian roulette every day and for people to get off on the fact "oh i nearly have a heart attack when it sometimes crashes" is just plain stupid, which must imply that they either have more money than sense to risk bricking a $200 + console or have a learning disability.

Sorry if that sounds too harsh, but its a reality and everyone should wake up and notice what GW is and what they have done instead of supporting a team who are not what they seem. They wont admit it, as its all $$$ at the end of the day and that is it and who is to say they might have gone under or in hiding and then re-surface as another team under a different name, as I dont think they will get the trust and support from their user base from now on, except for the brain deads.

I totally agree with you, problem is for now they are (if you exclude all the clones) the only way to play 3DS ROMs right now, so what else can we do?
Of course 2.0b1 or lower should be used for the time being instead of 2.0b2.

I can understand that and can see why people would possibly take a risk and use 2.0b2, as that is how they can grab you by the balls as there aint any other solution at present. Personally, I would do this if money permits, if I had a GW card. Use 1.2 to play practically all known roms except the newer SDK ones and use another 3DS on the latest OFW for the likes of Zelda BTW and Pokomon original carts for example. Just buy the games you wanna actual play and finish on OFW and piss about on the GW for ones you couldn't care less about. Wait for the GW shitstorm to calm down and see how it pans out instead of pissing about with a time bomb causing stress each time it decides to mess up occasionally wondering if the next boot-up is a BSOD

I did the same for my PS3 and 360, one for offline (Jailbreak/RGH) and one (legit OFW) for online games I liked and willing to play online, etc.

Some people sent their 3DS to the GW-Team in order to get ir repaired - are there any news regarding this?
There has not been sufficient time for a reply. The units are being sent to a mail forwarder in Hong Kong and from there are being redirected to Gateway - presumably in China. This will take at least 2 - 3 weeks.

Well, some time has passed since the first brick. I thought their should be first results but it obviously takes more time than expected.

good luck to the people who sent in their 3ds consoles to gateway.. I think they just made a donation to the gateway fund.

thing is dropping back to b1 doesnt even loose any game compatibility...only 7.1 emunand compatibility and eshop.
Is it confirmed that you definitely lose 7.1 emunand compatibility downgrading to b1? I saw this post on another thread:

1- I've used gateway launcher 2.0b2 to build the emunand, updated the emunand online to 7.1, then I downgraded to 2.0b1 launcher. Now by using the 2.0b1 launcher with this emunand that was built using the 2.0b2 launcher, am I being exposed to the brick code in any way??

1-no

If I use the Old R4 Gold(not 3DS) Would I get a brick if use Gateway?

2.0b1 is safe, Can I still go online with it? Or Do I need the risky 2.0b2.

Why can't you guys fix the 3DS if you have a Nand backup?

We can confirm that NO Gateway user had any issue with their console or their
Gateway card. And this will remain the same in the future, thanks to our team
hard work on proper testing and quality manufacturing.
All claims found on site are untrue and rumors spread by cloners, who indeed
have issues for which they offer no support.
If anything happens to your console or Gateway: we will fix it, free!
But nothing will happen.

Enjoy your Gateway! Soon more exciting updates coming for your cart!

Posting made up crap above like that does not help the situation or mine for that matter and instead spreads rumors again that sheep will follow. You think i'd want to fuck up my legit GW and 3DS for a laugh and waste money, spend my time on here advising others of what happened?? Don't think so as I have better things to do with my time. Seriously, people need to sort their head out unless it a medical health condition or a disability , as its mostly I see around here.

You and a few others have been unfortunate casualties throughout this bricking fiasco... I'd be pissed too :(
I hope they fix your console and you're able to enjoy 2.0 soon Retrofan_k.

I also take me 3DSLL to brick
info:equip the gateway3D card
the 3DSLL sold on HongKong made in 2012
step1 backup the nand
step2 run the test display all is OK with green letter
step3 run the red boot
step4 screen still black during 20second
step5 I force shutdown that
step6 power it again
step7 totally blue

Sorry to hear that Rico, think this makes you the most recently fallen. Mail GW and send your unit to them and they'll fix it for free. Shouldn't take them long as you're not far from them... Everyone else is either using local unbricking services or waiting 2-3 weeks for shipping to China.

2weeks seems too long maybe I will unbrick it by myself it seemly not too difficult. In China the price of unbrick service is enough to buy a new raspberry Pi and I think maybe it will blue twice so in the case.Other way the challenge maybe more interesting than games.

You don't live in China? If you bricked using legit GW + launcher.dat you can get it repaired for free, the 2-3 week wait is for people outside of China shipping their units into China to the GW team.

I have no idea that GW team is in China now,it's really astonish me, Why them live in there.
