Bump.

And, more PSP info:
Serial(?) Code on the back of the battery: 07731KAA2800
Code on the bottom of the PSP: AB024273510-PSP2001
Code behind the battery: HU2427351

If you need anymore info, I'll be happy to give it to you. Please note that I don't have the box or receipt.

EDIT: Now that I remember it, I think the firmware update file that came with the PSP was for 2.51. Hope this helps.

Sounds more like you bought it in late 2008 and are just remembering wrong.

My memory is pretty messed up right now. HELL if I could remember anything that isn't right in my face or anything that was more than 2 years ago.

I was following the thread for a day or too. I got no views whatsoever so I thought a bump would be appropriate... I'm sorry.

As for your suggestion, I've tried checking with PSPIdent v7.3, it doesn't work. It loads SOME information, but none of the stuff I need. Afterwards, it just hangs and eventually shuts off the PSP.

Try a different version of PSP Ident then....sooner or later you'll get the info you need, although we're more or less certain you have a TA-088v3.
